Step into the wild at the Phoenix Zoo with A Life in the Wild, the breathtaking traveling museum exhibition featuring the legendary wildlife photography of Thomas D. Mangelsen. 🐘🦅🐅

On display through May 31, 2026, this remarkable retrospective showcases nearly 50 years of iconic nature and wildlife photography from around the globe — including stunning images of American bison, Arctic fox, bald eagle, Bengal tiger, elephants, giraffes, mountain lions, redwood forests, and more. Some works span nearly nine feet across for an unforgettable viewing experience.

Presented as part of the Zoo’s Art on the Wild Side program, the exhibition can be explored in the Wild Side Gallery at the Phoenix Zoo.

Today at COMŌ 📸 Artist Jarod Lew joins the community for a special artist lecture exploring intergenerational encounters with diasporic loss, displacement, postmemory, race, and identity through photography.

Lew’s acclaimed project Please Take Off Your Shoes was shortlisted for the Aperture Portfolio Prize and featured in Kinship: Photography and Connection at SFMOMA. His work has also been recognized by institutions including the Harvard Art Museum, Detroit Institute of Arts, and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
