Our newest grantee wasn't planning on studying celiac disease—that's why this kind of funding is so important. Unfortunately, few can study the disease without support from patients, patient advocacy groups (like Beyond Celiac), and professional organizations, like the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA).

We can't wait to see what Dr. Hamilton and her team discover from this work and how it will influence the future of celiac disease research.

Someone on a gluten-free diet has to avoid wheat, barley, and rye, but these ingredients can hide under other names, too. Print this red flag ingredients cheat sheet to keep on hand when you’re grocery shopping, or give it to loved ones who may want to cook for you.

Note: Products with ingredient terms in the “may contain gluten” list can still be gluten-free, but it’s safest to purchase a product labeled gluten-free or certified gluten-free if the ingredient list has any of those terms. https://hubs.li/Q04st9Vb0

College dining halls… A love/hate relationship 😅

This week, interns Doran and Kelsey Celi-YAP about their college experiences, specifically navigating dining halls!

Dining halls and college spaces have made a lot of progress to provide celiac-safe options. As college students, Doran and Kelsey are both incredibly grateful for these options, but there are still some aspects that can be frustrating. 🤭

What has your college or dining hall experience been like? What can college dining halls do to provide better experiences for students and guests with celiac disease? Let us know in the comments!
