CBC provides direct financial assistance with non-medical, essential expenses which are not covered by other agencies/insurances, i.e., meal vouchers, parking, snacks & toys while in treatment, family living expenses, such as rent/mortgage, utility bills, phone, transportation, car insurance, health insurance, prosthetics, wigs, child care, counseling & referral services and sadly, funeral expenses. In addition to providing financial assistance, CBC provides activities to patients and their families throughout the year that range from holiday and special occasion parties to sibling camps and off-site family field trips.

September is National Sickle Cell Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness and show support for children and families living with sickle cell disease.

Sickle cell disease is an inherited blood disorder that affects thousands of individuals and can lead to pain episodes, anemia, and other serious health complications. This month, we honor the strength and resilience of those living with sickle cell disease and remain committed to supporting the families we serve.

Together, we can increase awareness, inspire hope, and make a difference.
