Wissahickon Interested Citizens Association - WICA WICA is the civic association representing the Wissahickon enclave in Roxborough. Access to all public meetings are available on our website.

WORKING TOWARD A COLLABORATIVE
The Wissahickon Interested Citizen’s Association (WICA) is the Registered Community Organization (RCO) for the Wissahickon enclave in Roxborough, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The boundaries of the services area are from Ridge Avenue to Hermit Street to Henry Avenue to the border of the Wissahickon Valley Park. WICA is a community-based, volunteer organization and a re

gistered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
WICA’s mission is to:
-provide a forum for the expression of concerns
-consider and act on all matters properly brought before the Association or its Executive Board, especially in matters concerning land use zoning development and preservation
-develop and maintain an informed and productive membership dedicated to serving the community interest
-coordinate and further projects for the improvement and development of the Wissahickon Community
-promote and support unity, pride, and communication throughout the community
-maintain non-partisan and non-sectarian policies in all activities of the Association
-provide a free and open democratic Association

Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month via Zoom and open to the public. MEMBERSHIP

🎬 Movie Night in La Noce Park Has Been Rescheduled! 🍿

Join us on Friday, June 19 at 8:30PM for a FREE outdoor showing of The Emperor’s New Groove at La Noce Park (5119 Rochelle Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19128).

Bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket, pack your favorite movie snacks, and enjoy a fun evening under the stars with neighbors and friends. We recommend arriving early to grab a good spot. Bathrooms will be available on-site.

Join the 21st Ward Veterans Association this Memorial Day as they honor and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸 The day begins with a ceremony at the Wissahickon War Memorial (Rochelle Ave. across from the train station) at 10:00 AM, followed by services throughout the Ward. All are welcome.

Memorial Day Services -- Monday, May 25, 2026 == A full day of remembrance across our community.

THANK YOU!! To all of our neighbors that participated and shopped in the Wissahickon neighborhood yard sale! We had nearly 40 homes sign up and many visitors stroll and purchase items. We can’t wait to do it again next year.

🌱 Join Us for the Philly Spring Cleanup at La Noce Park! 🌱

Let’s come together to make our neighborhood cleaner, greener, and ready for spring! WICA/Friends of La Noce Park are hosting a cleanup at La Noce Park, and we’d love your help.

🗓 Date: Saturday, April 11
⏰ Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
📍 Location: La Noce Park (5119 Rochelle Ave)

We’ll be picking up trash, raking leaves, clearing branches, and getting the park ready for springtime fun. This citywide effort is part of Philadelphia’s largest single-day cleanup event, bringing thousands of volunteers together to improve our communities.

Bring a friend, your family, or just yourself—every little bit helps! Let’s show La Noce Park some love 💚
