Since its founding a half century ago as a publicly funded agency designated to provide community-based behavioral healthcare, intellectual disability services, and aging services to people in Roxborough, Interact has expanded its service mix and geographic reach. The agency now offers an array of services in community settings, schools, and homes in Roxborough and West Philadelphia. While continuing to serve those communities, interact seeks to bring a comprehensive mix of trauma-informed, person-centered services to other Northwest Philadelphia neighborhoods where there is unmet need by leveraging our own programming with strategic community partnerships.

📢 Important Medicaid Changes Are Coming

We want our community to be informed and prepared for upcoming changes to Medicaid, also known as Medical Assistance in Pennsylvania. These changes will be taking effect January 1, 2027

Some adults ages 19–64 will need to renew their Medicaid coverage every six months instead of once a year.

There are also new work requirements for some adults ages 19–64 who do not have a child under age 14. Individuals may need to show that they are meeting work requirements or qualify for an exemption. This will be reviewed when applying for Medicaid and during renewals.

September is Su***de Prevention Month—a time to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and remind one another that support is available.

At InterAct, we believe every person deserves to feel heard, valued, and supported. While InterAct is not a crisis center and does not provide 24/7 or walk-in crisis prevention services, our Behavioral Health Services, through our Blended Case Management team, can help with referrals, resources, and connections to appropriate supports. Our Outpatient Mental Health Clinic team can provide a full range of clinical services.

🎒 Back to school means making sure every student has the support they need to succeed.

Interact’s Child and Adolescent Blended Case Management (BCM) program works with children and families to help navigate challenges at school, at home, and in the community.

Our case managers can assist with educational advocacy, including appropriate educational settings, psychoeducational evaluations, IEPs, and bullying concerns. We can also help families connect with community supports, behavioral health services, medical and disability benefits, transportation, crisis intervention, hospital admission and discharge support, health and wellness resources, and more.

Child and Adolescent BCM serves children up to age 18—and students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) may be eligible for services until age 22 while in high school.

Navigating behavioral health services can be complicated and feel overwhelming. With the support of a Blended Case Manager, it doesn't have to be. Interact’s Blended Case Management (BCM) program helps Philadelphia residents with behavioral health needs to connect with the services and resources they need to move toward their goals. Interact's BCM program offers support for adults, children, adolescents, and their families.

BCM is a voluntary, community-based service that provides personalized support wherever it’s needed—at home, at school, in the community, at appointments, and more.

Our case managers can help participants with obtaining:

• Behavioral health and medical services
• Housing, benefits, and community resources
• Crisis intervention and hospital transitions
• Employment, life skills, and wellness
• Educational advocacy and IEP support
• Transportation and legal supports
• Self-advocacy skills
• And more

Each participant works alongside their case manager to create person-centered S.M.A.R.T. goals, while our team collaborates with families, providers, and other supports to help participants stay connected to services and make meaningful progress.

🌟 Adult BCM: Ages 18+
🌟 Child & Adolescent BCM: Up to age 18, or up to 22 for eligible high school students with an IEP

We're conducting walk-in interviews for Resident Advisors and Registered Nurses. A hiring event is like a job fair—but just for one organization, giving you the chance to meet our team, ask questions, and interview on the spot.

What to bring:
✔️ Resume
✔️ Driver's License
✔️ High School Diploma / Proof of Education
✔️ RN License (RN applicants only)

What to wear: Casual—come as you are, but please be presentable.

Parking: On-street parking is available.
