PAWS - the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving Philadelphia’s homeless and at-risk pets and serving pet owners in need. PAWS is the city’s largest rescue partner and provider of affordable veterinary care for pet owners and rescue organizations that cannot otherwise access it. Each year, PAWS finds loving homes for thousands of animals in need and enables thousands more families to keep their cherished pets. Through rescue efforts, community support, and surrender prevention, PAWS is working to make Philadelphia a place where every savable pet is guaranteed a home. PAWS’ employees will be distributing information as well as answering questions.

Forbidden Brass

A Philadelphia-based low brass ensemble featuring a variety of trombones and tubas. While they specialize in jazzy, toe-tapping favorites, their musical versatility allows them to happily adapt to any situation.

In search of a fresh brass ensemble experience, in fall of 2021 the four met for the first time in centrally-located Wissahickon Valley Park under a Forbidden Drive pavilion, which ultimately led to their name.

Their mission has evolved to bring a smile to people’s faces, to help their audiences fall in love with brass, and most importantly to have a good time.

This isn’t your grandmother’s brass quartet, but they promise your grandmother will love them.
