My Sister's Haven My Sister's Haven is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Philadelphia for women who are going through physical and/or emotional abuse by an intimate partner.

Our goal is to empower our sisters by providing a community around our entity.

I am saddened to inform everyone, due to the lack of support from the community, My Sister's Haven is closing and being dissolved.

We appreciate all the donations and support of those who believed in our mission.

As of today, we are no longer in operation or accepting calls or donations.

All donations received will be going to 2 deserving 501c 3's and they will be contacted when it is time to make the transaction.

Should we put something in place for this?

Domestic violence isn't just about physical abuse. It is also emotional, financial, sexual, and, most times, using children as a threat, and we can go on.

We have to create safe environments, especially for our women. Did you know the children's success of how they thrive is dependent on the mothers' happiness. So, let's create that safe space for the women.

Of course, men experience domestic violence as well, and we hope to tackle that in the future.

Right now, there are over 12,000 women who called the Philadelphia hotline for help, and there are a little over 200 beds for this crisis.
