COLLINGSWOOD CONCERT UPDATE!

There will be no concert in Collingswood this week. Our October concert has been moved to Thursday, November 19th. If you purchased tickets for the October date, please reach out to us for information about your tickets.

In the meantime, mark your calendar for November 19th and join us at the Collingswood Community Center from 7:30–9 PM for an evening with saxophonist Denis DiBlasio. DiBlasio is an internationally recognized clinician and performer who keeps things simple, honest, and positive.

Tickets: $20 in advance | $25 at the door
$5 from every ticket goes toward Jazz Bridge’s Musician Assistance Fund.

Wow, Fishtown!

What a day! A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to the Fishtown Jazz Festival this past Sunday. Despite the rain, more than 200 people showed up and packed the Black Squirrel Club!

Thank you for bearing with us through the last-minute date and venue change and for showing up to support live music no matter the weather. We had some seriously incredible players on that lineup, didn’t we?

A huge thank you to Penn Treaty for sponsoring the festival, and a BIG BIG thank you to The Black Squirrel Club for accommodating us at the last minute and helping make the festival happen.

Philly jazz musicians! If you’re facing a housing hardship, an unexpected medical bill, or your instrument was damaged on the road. Whatever the unexpected expense, Jazz Bridge wants to help.

Our Musician Assistance Grants provide $500 in emergency assistance to Philly-area jazz and blues musicians experiencing financial hardship.

There are three days left to apply! Applications close September 18th.

We’re wrapping up our summer concert season this Thursday, September 17 with bassist Madison Rast at Hawthorne Park.

This is our last summer concert of the season, so don’t miss it! Madison is one of Philadelphia’s most in-demand bassists and has performed with Orrin Evans, Bootsie Barnes, Mickey Roker, Sean Jones, Larry McKenna, and many more.
