We had an urgent request come through for one of the tiny friends we serve! It is imperative we get this child a mini crib, mattress and sheets or the placement may be disrupted. The child is currently thriving in their placement so helping prevent this upheaval will reduce the trauma that has already happened.

With back to school just around the corner we need your help! Many of our shoppers are in need of basics, especially school uniforms. As with most teens they would love the experience to shop for themselves! For that reason we have stocked our Amazon wishlist with gift cards to local stores to allow them this sense of dignity.

In addition you will notice baby basics such as bottles and diapers top the much needed list too! Another important item is Pull-Ups; many of the children we serve need these for night time.

Whether you can help by purchasing one item or ten we cannot thank you enough! Even if you can’t purchase, sharing this post to your friends and family would mean so much!

Spreading awareness and support for the foster care community is at the root of what we do!

It is our great pleasure to introduce you to our new Chapter Coordinator! Marissa is a former special education teacher and literacy coach turned homeschool parent to her two daughters. She lives in Montgomery County with her husband, Kevin, where they have been resource parents since 2020.

Marissa first learned about Fostering Hope when they received their first placement. Grateful for the support her family received, she was inspired to become involved with the organization. She served as Treasurer of the Upper Bucks Chapter for several years and is excited to return to Fostering Hope in a new role. She is looking forward to working with Kim, making community connections and serving the families of Philadelphia.

• Strong communication skills needed
• Required criminal and child abuse clearances
