🎉 Pizza Party in the Park Update! 🎉

The countdown is on — we can’t wait to celebrate summer with everyone tomorrow! 🌳🎶😎

We know many of you have been watching the forecast (just like we have 👀☔). The weather has been changing by the hour, but one thing is certain: The party is ON, rain or shine! 🎉

We’re hopeful that Mother Nature cooperates and allows us to enjoy the evening outdoors, but if rain or an impending downpour decides to join us, we’re ready with a backup plan.

🍕 Pizza pickup begins at 5 PM.
If the weather is clear, we’ll be outside in the park. If rain moves in, pizza pickup and sales will take place inside the Columbus Square Rec Center.

⏰Missed the preorder deadline? No worries!
We’ll have plenty of plain and pepperoni pizza available by the slice, plus drinks and sweet treats for purchase from our amazing Columbus Aftercare Kids 🍪🥤💚

Every purchase helps support our beloved park and rec center, so come hungry and help us invest in our community! 🌳✨

While we’re disappointed that The F***y Coppin Jackson HOME Band won’t be able to perform due to the uncertain weather, we’re still planning for music and good vibes all evening long 🎶💃🕺

So grab your friends, neighbors, and summer spirit, and come kick off the season with us! ☀️🍕🎉

A huge thank you to our neighbors and community members for helping keep the park clean, beautiful, and welcoming for everyone. 🌳🙌

✨ Explore a galaxy of creativity at the Space Art Exhibit! ✨

Join us inside the Columbus Square Recreation Center on Thursday from 5–7 PM to experience a unique display of space-themed artwork, created by talented young artists from the Columbus Square Aftercare Program.

🌟 See their cosmic creations come to life under black lights, transforming planets, stars, rockets, and more into a glowing journey through space.

Whether you’re a fan of art, astronomy, or simply want to support local young artists, this one-of-a-kind exhibit is sure to inspire visitors of all ages.

The show takes place during Columbus Square’s Pizza Party in the Park, so stop by for the festivities and be sure to step inside to experience the creativity and imagination of our community’s youngest explorers!

Last two weeks for the Tot Dance Party!

Join us for dancing, music-making and tons of FUN at Columbus Square this and next Tuesday! 👯‍♀️💖🪩

Let your little ones (ages 2–4) move, play, and dance their hearts out while exploring music, rhythm, and creative expression. It’s the perfect way to burn off that pre-bedtime energy with joy and giggles! ✨

Tree Removal Notice: Saturday 5/30 🌳

Tomorrow, May 30th, several declining trees in the park will be removed as part of necessary park maintenance. These trees have been failing over time and have lost large limbs, creating an increasing safety hazard for park visitors.

Please use extra caution around the park and work areas while crews are on site.

This decision was made carefully with public safety in mind, and replacement tree planting is being planned for the fall as part of the park’s continued care and restoration.

Thank you for your understanding and continued care for the park. ✨🙏
