Young Men’s Service League – Perry Chapter provides volunteer opportunities and hands-on community service projects across Perry, Warner Robins, and Houston County, GA. We partner with local nonprofits and community organizations who need volunteers and hands-on labor.

We’re pretty proud of our young men.

This summer, YMSL Perry members gave 931 hours of service to organizations throughout our community!

And those hours add up.

Based on the current estimated value of a volunteer hour in Georgia, that represents nearly $32,800 in economic impact invested right back into our community.

But the impact beyond the numbers? That’s the part we’re most proud of.

🛏️ HELP US GET TO 500! ❤️

No child deserves to sleep on the floor.

This September, Young Men's Service League - Perry is partnering with one of our favorite organizations, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, for our 25th Anniversary Annual Ultimate Gift project.

Our moms and young men have built beds with Sleep in Heavenly Peace. We’ve helped deliver them to local children. And there is nothing quite like watching a child see their new bed and realize it’s theirs. ❤️

Our goal is to collect 500 NEW 5-piece TWIN bed-in-a-bag sets to support Sleep in Heavenly Peace and children throughout Houston and Bibb Counties.

HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP:

🛏️ DONATE A SET: Purchase a new 5-piece twin bed-in-a-bag set and drop it off at one of the locations on the graphic during regular open hours.

📱 OR SCAN & SEND: Scan the QR code, purchase a twin bedding set, and we will ensure will be used for a child’s brand new bed.

📅 Deadline: September 25 at 3 PM

One set at a time, we can get to 500. ❤️

Young Men's Service League - Perry is excited to announce Sleep in Heavenly Peace as our 2026 Ultimate Gift recipient!

Their mission is simple: No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town.

This September, our moms and young men will come together for TWO build days, rolling up their sleeves to help build beds for local children who need them. 🛏️🔨

And we’re not stopping there.

We’re also launching a community Bedding Drive with a goal of 500 bedding sets!

We’ll be sharing all the details soon, including how our community can get involved and help us reach 500.

This is going to be a special one. ❤️💙

The years are short. Time together matters. ❤️

Between school, sports, work and everything else that fills these years, finding time with our teenage sons isn’t always easy. Serving together gives us that time — while doing something good for our community, too.

We’re grateful for organizations that give our young men a chance to roll up their sleeves, help out and see firsthand what it means to serve others.

The service hours are great. The time together is even better. ❤️

Back-to-school season has a way of reminding us just how quickly the years go by. ❤️

One day you’re taking first-day-of-school pictures. Before you know it, they’re in high school, planning for college, and becoming young men.

One of our YMSL Perry moms shares why serving together became such an important part of her family’s story.

Because while the service projects may only last a few hours, the time spent together—and the memories made—last much longer.

Every child deserves a safe place to sleep.

Our moms and sons partnered with Sleep in Heavenly Peace - GA, Macon to help build and deliver beds for children in the Macon community.

From unloading lumber and assembling bed frames to making each bed with fresh linens, every step reminded us that serving isn’t just about the finished project—it’s about the people it impacts.

YMSL gives young men the opportunity to develop leadership, compassion, and a lifelong commitment to serving others, one project at a time.

Thank you to Sleep in Heavenly Peace Macon for allowing us to be part of such meaningful work.

From sorting donations to stocking shelves, volunteers work together to serve families throughout South Houston County. Every can, every box, and every helping hand makes a difference.

We’re grateful to support organizations like Loaves & Fishes of South Houston County providing food assistance and hope to our community.

💙 Thank you, Sara, for sharing your YMSL story.

As one of the moms who helped launch YMSL Perry in 2023 and our current Chapter President, Sara reminds us why these years with our teenage boys through the high school years matter.

Through service, leadership, and shared experiences, YMSL helps moms and sons create memories that last long after high school.

🐴💙 What a fun day!

Our YMSL Perry young men and Moms spent time with some sweet friends today enjoying horse rides, crafts, and lots of smiles. It was one of those service opportunities that reminds us how much joy can come from simply showing up.
