Seasons end. There comes a time when we must stop an old something in order to reach the new something. Jacob worked for his father-in-law Laban for 14 years to secure the hand of Laban's daughters Leah and Rachel. He worked another 6 years for wages. The Lord told Jacob it was time to return the land and the family that was promised through him (Gen 31:3). The in-law work relationship had reached a necessary end. Dr. Henry Cloud's Necessary Endings promotes the awareness of needing to make the bold decision of ending something well when it has come time. Jobs, projects, even some relationships reach a course when it must end in order for us to remain growing and healthy in life and personhood. Move from being stuck in denial to having clarity of action. Give it up to move forward.
