St. Jude Runs Save the Date: August 7, 2027 👣 The St. Mike McCoy and Gene Pratt, co-founders of the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Jude Memphis to Peoria Run in 1982.

Jude Runs are the product of two very determined men’s vision to help children win the fight against childhood catastrophic diseases. Jude Memphis to Peoria Run, envisioned an event so unique and different that it would bring people from all walks of life together to raise money for St. That mission was accomplished with the first St. A group of about 22 runners made their way from the steps of St. Jude in Memphis, Tennessee to Peoria, Illinois; a 465 mile trek raising $22,500!

We are proud to announce the recipients of the 2026 Michael D. McCoy St. Jude Runs Scholarship!

First established during the 25th anniversary of the St. Jude Memphis to Peoria Run, this scholarship honors Mike McCoy’s vision and leadership while recognizing the remarkable journeys of St. Jude patients and their siblings.

A lasting legacy. ❤

Members of the Memphis to Peoria Run community had the incredible honor of signing a structural beam that will become part of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's Advanced Research Center II (ARC II), scheduled for completion in 2029.

More than signatures and messages, this beam represents hope, determination, and an unwavering commitment to advancing cures and saving children's lives around the world.

For years to come, Central Illinois will continue to help St. Jude support the foundation of groundbreaking research, ensuring that children and families everywhere have hope for a healthier future.
