Volunteers please wear closed-toe shoes and bring a reusable water bottle. Gloves, trash bags, litter pickers, and other equipment will be provided.

War Eagle Recycling Challenge competitors: each volunteer earns 2 Challenge points for their on-campus hall with a maximum of 8 points available per residence hall.

Something special is taking root at Melrose Park. 🌿📚

The walking trail for Chelsea’s new Storybook Trail is now complete, and we’re excited to begin the next phase of bringing this project to life.

Located in the wooded area between the Chelsea Community Center and Melrose Park Splash Pad, the trail will combine stories, interactive play, nature-based learning and plenty of opportunities for families to explore together.

We’re now working with a wonderful group of community partners to add the story stations, interactive features and educational elements that will make this trail truly special.

There’s still more to build, create and discover — and we can’t wait to share it with you this fall.

♻️ Residents, visitors, individuals, and organizations are invited to “get the trash out of the splash” by picking up litter along Alabama's coasts and waterways in the annual Alabama Coastal Cleanup event on Saturday, September 19.
