Green Acres Rescue Created to respond to the increase in stray, abandoned and unwanted animals in Escambia County, Fl.

We are a 501(c)3 established to assist with stray, abandoned and unwanted dogs. We are volunteer based and rely on donations to feed, shelter and provide medical care for those dogs rescued off the streets.

We are in dire need of a washer. Ours has died and it would really help if someone could donate a washer. We've had 2 major surgeries within as many months, with another one coming up and funds are tight. If anyone has a washer they can donate it would be greatly appreciated.

Reggie’s story is one of resilience, love, and second chances. Found several months ago in rough shape, this sweet boy needed time, care, and a whole lot of heart to heal — and wow, what a transformation.

Today, Reggie is a happy, playful pup who thrives in his playgroups and adores being around other dogs. His tail wags tell the story: he’s ready for a forever home filled with joy, companionship, and maybe a few squeaky toys.

- 🐕 Temperament: Friendly, social, and full of life. He’s blossomed into a confident, affectionate companion.

Ready for your Beach Buddy

🐾 Meet Rusty Dixon: From Boat Ramp to Best Friend! 🐾

We have a special boy looking for his forever crew. This handsome 1-2 year old Pit/Lab mix was found presumed abandoned at the Bill Dickerson Boat Ramp. While his past is a bit of a mystery, his future is looking bright thanks to the Escambia County Sheriff’s officer who stepped up to foster him!

He’s currently decompressing in a loving foster home and showing us what a resilient, sweet soul he truly is.

The Lowdown on Our Lucky Boy:
⚕️ Health: He’s a healthy lad! Up to date on all vaccinations and Heartworm Negative.
🍀 Upcoming Perks: He’s already scheduled to be neutered and microchipped this month—so he'll be ready to go with all his "t's" crossed and "i's" dotted.
🐕 Friendly: He does well with other pups! He just prefers a slow introduction to make sure everyone is on the same page.
❓️ Kids & Cats: Since he’s still settling in, we aren’t quite sure how he feels about feline friends or tiny humans yet.

This pup deserves a home where he’ll never have to worry about being left behind again. He’s young, athletic, and ready to learn what it means to be a cherished family member.
