Nobody knew Sophie Rottenberg was considering su***de. The only warning sign was given to "Harry," a therapist-persona assigned to ChatGPT with a specific prompt, one that Sophie herself had inputted to direct the AI chatbot not to refer her to mental health professionals or external resources, and to keep everything private.

💛🌎 Today is World Su***de Prevention Day.

This day is a reminder that every life matters, every struggle matters, and every voice deserves to be heard.

You never know what someone is carrying behind their smile. A kind word, a check-in, or even just listening can truly save a life.

If you’re struggling, please know you are not alone. Reach out, speak up, and lean on others. YOU are worthy of help, love, and healing. 💛

📞 988 is the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. Available 24/7, free, and confidential.

Let’s choose compassion. Let’s choose hope. Let’s choose life. 💛✨

Post a picture today of the one you lost to su***de on the FIRST DAY OF ANY MONTH. September is Su***de Awareness Month. For many, su***de is faceless, but when we think of su***de, our minds fill with faces as our eyes fill with tears. During this month, let us raise awareness by remembering those faces each day. This post will appear the first thing every morning in September - 30 times this month (the 30th will capture those lost on the 30th and 31st). Please add your loved one(s) on the appropriate day(s) and scroll down to take a look at the treasures we desperately miss. I lost my son on the 24th day of a month, so I'll be posting his picture on September 24. When we all post on one day, the numbers are staggering; it is painful to scroll and scroll and scroll - and still there are more. This will give us a chance to take time to really reach out to each other, to add a comment, to offer a prayer. For us . . . su***de is personal. -SOS Admins

Example: 9/24 you’d post on the 24th
5/5 you’d post on 9/5
1/10 you’d post 9/10. Hope this helps. We will post daily for you to add pictures of your loved one on the day that matches the day your loved one passed.
