June's Business of the month is the Be Ready Alliance, BRACE. Established in 2006 following the severe impacts of Hurricane Ivan, BRACE is a prominent non-profit organization dedicated to disaster preparedness, response, and recovery for Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.

Here is a short breakdown of what they do:

Volunteer Coordination (ESF-15): BRACE serves as the official lead organization for Emergency Support Function 15 (Volunteers & Donations) under local Emergency Management. They coordinate hundreds of partner organizations to mobilize resources right when disasters hit.

Community Training: They are the official program managers for local CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) training—teaching everyday residents how to safely support their neighborhoods during a crisis—as well as the Pensacola Fire Corps.

Long-Term Recovery: When the initial disaster response ends, BRACE steps in to manage Long-Term Recovery Groups, coordinating volunteers and funding to repair and restore damaged homes for local families (such as their widespread recovery housing efforts after Hurricane Sally).

Focus on Vulnerability: Recognizing that low-income and vulnerable populations are often disproportionately hit by natural disasters, much of BRACE's local public education, outreach, and mitigation work carries an intentional anti-poverty focus.

Pensacola Jeeps is part of the CERT team and we are thankful to partner with such an amazing group.

Let’s hear it for our Pensacola Jeeps Admin of the Month: Bill Gouthro!
If you’ve ever been out on a trail ride, rolled in one of our cruises, or hung out at a major charity event, chances are you’ve seen Bill in his rig, Black Sheep.

Bill is one of our dedicated trail leads who is always ready to step up, map out an awesome route, and make sure everyone gets through the terrain safely. But as much as he keeps us moving forward, he’s also the guy keeping the mood light. No matter how long the day is, Bill always has a joke ready to go and loves making the crew laugh.
Thank you, Bill, for your hard work behind the scenes, your leadership on the dirt, and for keeping us all smiling! We appreciate everything you do for the Pensacola Jeeps family.

It is easy to forget that behind every convoy, social event, fundraiser, and trail ride is a team of volunteers working entirely behind the scenes. Our Admin team gives their personal time and professional experience to keep this club running smoothly. It’s their willingness to step up that makes Pensacola Jeeps a success.

It’s that time again where we get to shine a well-deserved spotlight on one of our incredible members. For June, we are thrilled to announce that our Member of the Month is Darlene Templin!
Even though Darlene is one of our newer members, you’d never know it by how quickly she jumped into to our community. From day one, she has shown an incredible passion for getting involved and discovering what the Pensacola Jeeps is all about.

Thank you, Darlene, for bringing so much joy, excitement, and welcoming energy to our crew. We are so incredibly lucky to have you in the club!

Be sure to congratulate Darlene next time you see her.
