Help Shape the Future of Scouting in Pensacola Bay!

The Pensacola Bay District Committee is looking for volunteers who want to make a difference for local Scouts, families, and unit leaders.

Share your talents in an area that interests you:

• Membership: Help more families discover Scouting and support new units.
• Fundraising: Build community support through donors, sponsors, and special events.
• Activities & Camping: Help plan memorable outdoor experiences and district events.
• Training: Help volunteers develop the skills and confidence to lead.
• Advancement & Recognition: Support Scout achievement and celebrate accomplishments.
• Communications: Help spread the word about Scouting opportunities.

Whether you’re a current Scout volunteer, a parent, a former Scout, or a community member, there’s a place for you. You don’t need previous Scouting experience, just a willingness to help!

Be the Heart. Build Relationships. Change Lives.

Unit Commissioners support the heart of Scouting our packs, troops, and crews. By building trusted relationships with volunteer leaders, they help units create safe, welcoming environments and deliver programs that prepare young people for a lifetime of ethical choices, service, and leadership.

Our priority is simple: Be the single best resource for unit leaders. Through listening, encouragement, and connecting leaders with helpful resources, commissioners strengthen the Scouting experience for every youth we serve.

Beginning June 1, 2026, eligible families can receive a code during the online registration process that reduces the national registration fee to $0.

✅ Available for new and renewing youth members
✅ Applies to online registrations
✅ Funded through national philanthropic support

Please note: Local council, unit, optional program fees, and processing fees may still apply.

We are grateful for the sacrifices made by our military families and are excited to help more youth experience the adventure, leadership, and character-building opportunities that Scouting provides.

We are now just 4 days away from the May 31st deadline to complete your Safeguarding Youth Training.

Please log in to my.scouting.org as soon as possible to complete your training and keep your Scouting account active.

Please remember: if you have not completed the new Safeguarding Youth Training, you will not be able to take the refresher course. The full training must be completed first.

If your training is not completed by May 31st, your account will become inactive beginning June 1st. Inactive members may not participate in Scout meetings, activities, campouts, or events until training is completed.

Thank you for helping us keep Scouting safe for all youth and for your continued support of the program.
