Historic Celebration: 160 Years of Prince Hall Freemasonry in Georgia
May 30th marked a historic milestone for Prince Hall Freemasonry in Georgia, commemorating 160 years of legacy. In a significant display of unity, the three original lodges—Eureka Lodge #1, Hilton Lodge #2, and Bannaker Lodge #3—assembled in Savannah for a District Raising.
Event Highlights
* Host: Savannah First Masonic District.
* Attendance: 101 Brothers and 10 candidates.
* Distinguished Visitors: Brothers from across Georgia (Atlanta, Millen, Augusta, Brunswick, Statesboro, and Baxley Districts) and representatives from the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Massachusetts.
Grand Lodge Officers in Attendance:
* District #1: Grand Assistant Tyler George B. King, DDGM Robert Simmons, ADDGM Marcus Fuller, and Grand Lecturers PM Ezekiel Walthour and PM John Parker.
* District #7: DDGM Donald Taylor and ADDGM Maurice Butler.
* District #17: DDGM Edwin Russell Thompson, ADDGM Jervis Taylor, Grand Color Guard Edward Russell, and Grand Security Chaisson Gideon.
* District #18: ADDGM Dewayne Taylor.

Annually, this scholarship is presented to two of the most deserving graduating seniors from Bryan County High School who have demonstrated exceptional character, community spirit, and a commitment to their future goals.
