Calling all 6th–11th Grade 4-H’ers & Parents!

Join us for the Finding Your Way to 4-H Jr/Sr District Project Achievement Parent Interest Meeting! We will be holding an interest meeting on both ends of the county.
📅 Tuesday, May 5th
Jacob Grant Teen Center (185 Ball Park Rd, Richmond Hill)
📅Thursday, May 7th
Bryan County Extension Office (131 N College St, Pembroke)
🕠 5:30–6:30PM

✨Learn how your student can shine during Jr/Sr DPA! If your 4-H'er competed in 6th grade or has never competed, this meeting will be extremely important for explaining how the contest is conducted and how it will be different this year!

📲 RSVP by scanning the QR code or visiting
https://forms.gle/AjUwFxL3DSrDTftm7

At this meeting we will be reviewing the competition, dates, requirements, and help you get started on portfolios! Project Achievement can seem very overwhelming, but with a little guidance and early planning, it is a piece of cake! The purpose of Project Achievement is to increase leadership, community service, and public speaking skills in youth as they share their passions with their peers! This will definitely push students outside of their comfort zones as they gain knowledge about their projects! The best thing about Project Achievement is that there are over 50 projects to choose from, so no matter what your interests may be, there is a place for you!

Celebrate Earth Day with us on Wednesday, April 22 at the Mary Kahrs Warnell Forest Education Center!

We’re hosting two special opportunities to care for our forest and learn about the amazing plants and pollinators that call it home.

🌿 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Earth Day Volunteer Hours
Help us give the forest a little extra love! We’ll be working on:
• Trail clean‑up
• Refreshing the flower beds
• Tidying up the gopher tortoise enclosure
Volunteers of all ages (youth + adults) are welcome to sign up.

🐝 1:00 – 2:30 PM: Youth Earth Day Program
In the afternoon, kids will get their hands dirty as we make pollinator seed balls, explore native plants, and learn how they can help protect Georgia’s pollinators.
This session is youth‑only.

Come spend Earth Day in the forest with us — learning, helping, and celebrating the place we all love.
