Calling all 4th–12th graders who love painting, drawing, crafting, and creative projects! Come explore your creativity and have fun at The Craft Station in Richmond Hill.

Held Monthly on the 3rd Thursdays
Time: 4:30–5:30 PM
Cost: $100 for all 8 classes
2026–2027 Class Dates:
September 17 - October 15 - November 19 - December 17
January 21 - February 18 - March 18 - April 15

Want to become a smart shopper, a savvy communicator, and responsible consumer? Join the Bryan County 4-H Cotton Boll and Consumer Judging Team!

This program was created to help students learn how to:
~Understand the importance of cotton as a key agricultural commodity
~Promote cotton in your community
~Make smart, informed decisions when buying products and services
~Select, use, and dispose of goods in ways that make the most of your resources
~Choose items that reflect your personal values, lifestyle, and goals
~Act as a responsible consumer-citizen who knows their rights and responsibilities
~Communicate your choices clearly and confidently

What's the Judging Team About?
You will compete in two main areas:
~Consumer Judging- Review four similar items in each class and decide which one best meets the needs of a specific person in a given situation.
~Presentations (Ads/Commercials)- Show off your creativity by making a short presentation promoting cotton or cotton made items.

Each class has a real-life scenario. Your job is to think critically, weigh the options, and make the best choice. You'll be judged on your reasoning and presentation skills.

Whether you're into showing off your creativity, shopping smart, or learning how to make your money count—this contest is for YOU.

Open to 4th - 12th grade students, no experience needed!

Practices will be held in Pembroke at the Bryan County Extension Office. Practices will be every Monday from September 14th - November 2nd.
Area Contest will be held November 5th

There is no cost to be a part of the judging team!

Join us for the Finding Your Way to 4-H Jr/Sr District Project Achievement Parent Interest Meeting! We will be holding an interest meeting on both ends of the county.

✨Learn how your student can shine during Jr/Sr DPA! If your 4-H'er competed in 6th grade or has never competed, this meeting will be extremely important for explaining how the contest is conducted and how it will be different this year!

At this meeting we will be reviewing the competition, dates, requirements, and help you get started on portfolios! Project Achievement can seem very overwhelming, but with a little guidance and early planning, it is a piece of cake! The purpose of Project Achievement is to increase leadership, community service, and public speaking skills in youth as they share their passions with their peers! This will definitely push students outside of their comfort zones as they gain knowledge about their projects! The best thing about Project Achievement is that there are over 50 projects to choose from, so no matter what your interests may be, there is a place for you!
