Signing up for a volunteer team can feel tough. It can be scary, intimidating, and full of unknowns.
Truthfully, when I signed up, I had absolutely NO idea what to expect. I remember telling the current PTO President, “I’d love to help, but I definitely don’t want a big position.”
Well… fast forward two years later, and somehow I became the PTO President. 😂 Honestly? TERRIFYING at first.
The unknown can be intimidating.
What if I can’t keep up?
What if I don’t have enough extra time?
What if I let people down?
What if the team doesn’t get along?
Who will my board even be?!
But I’m here to tell you this: if you have even the tiniest interest, we would LOVE to see you next August at our PTO table in the lobby of BCES.
Maybe you don’t want to be a board member — that’s completely okay! Sign up for our volunteer list. We LOVE having extra hands throughout the school year.
I can’t promise a lot of things, but I can promise this:You’ll have a positive experience. You’ll make memories. And you’ll absolutely love feeling connected to the school.
We currently have one open BOARD position that will be voted on next year, and we also have a blank volunteer form waiting with your name on it. 💚😉
You won’t regret seeing the students’ faces at our Christmas Store as they shop for their families. It is truly magical. You don’t regret the time poured into your child’s school.

To this year’s PTO members and volunteers — THANK YOU. What a successful year it has been in more ways than one.
From pumping out hundreds of chocolate bars daily in September, to all the prep work behind our magical BIG HIT Christmas Store… from the small treats we gifted students to the caffeine we pumped into our teachers and staff — these are memories I’ll never forget.
From creating a gorgeous charcuterie spread to welcome everyone back after Christmas Break, to ending the school year singing Fresh Prince of Bel-Air songs in the Teacher Appreciation room with kindergarten staff — every single one of you worked hard and poured your love into this school.
Filling the President position is something I never imagined myself doing, but with a team like you beside me, it could not have gone better.
What a FUN year. Thank you for the friendships, the laughs, the teamwork, and the memories.
And thank you, BCES, for always being so grateful and loving toward us. Thank you for the smiles, the excitement, and the kindness every time you saw us coming. It made volunteering such a rewarding and positive experience.
✌🏻 PEACE OUT, BCES. We love you.
