Giles County Christian Service Mission The Giles County Christian Service Mission is an outreach ministry serving the neediest families/individuals of Giles County, Virginia.

We serve families who have a chronic need due to low, fixed income or emergency need due to sudden loss. The Giles County Christian Service Mission is an inter-denominational, non-profit outreach ministry that has been serving Giles County for over 50 years. The goal of the Mission is to assist families who have chronic needs due to low or fixed incomes and offer emergency assistance for families

who have experienced the sudden loss of employment or other crisis. The work of the Mission is made possible through the generous support of churches, businesses, individuals, and civic and community service organizations. The Mission is open Monday-Saturday from 10:00 a.m.—2:00 p.m. Volunteers are always welcome! In 2016, the Giles County Christian Service Mission:

Served 3,570 Giles County Families, representing 9,846 Individuals. Distributed over $165,000 in food, clothing, diapers,
back-to-school supplies, & emergency assistance. Provided 560 Food Boxes including Christmas, Easter, & Thanksgiving Meals to families and individuals who are food insecure. Coordinated the Adoption of over 300 Angels through the Angel Tree Ministry.

Please consider donating to our pantry. Anything is appreciated but we can use Jiffy mix, Idaho instant potatoes in bags, saltine crackers, and Chef Boy R Dee. You can drop off at the Pantry Tuesday thru Friday 10am until 5pm and Saturday 10 am until 2PM.

Help Wanted: Floating Position with the Giles County Christian Service Mission.
This position will be trained in all areas. Duties may/will include customer service, keep confidential client records, be able to lift 35 pounds, be able to stand entire shift, must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and be able to multitask. This job may consist of sorting clothing, cleaning donations, lifting boxes and carrying heavy bags. Hours will be 9-5 Tuesday thru Friday and Saturday 10am-until 2pm. We are closed Sunday and Monday. We will be accepting applications through February 28th. Please stop by the Mission at 516 Wenonah Ave Pearisburg VA for an application.
