More BIG NEWS from yesterday's events at State FFA Convention.

Our livestock judging team advanced to the final portion of the event as one of the top 8 teams!!

Livestock judging is easily one of the largest and most competitive events at State Convention.

Our team includes Layton Dudding, Wyatt McCroskey, Carson Perdue, and Camdyn Moye. This is the first time Wyatt, Carson, and Camdyn have competed in livestock judging or any state level event - we are so proud of them!!

Final results will be announced tomorrow.

This guy is now a 4x STATE CHAMPION in four different events.

A 4x State Runner-up in three different events.

A Reserve National Champion team member in Horse. 🍀

A Regional National Champion in Extemporaneous Public Speaking.

Has competed in 7 National competitions, and just added the 8th opportunity today.

All in 3.5 years!

Not to mention that he is simply an amazing human being!

Thankful for the #1 Star lighting to honor him over Pearisburg tonight! 💙❤️ He certainly deserves it!

One more big goal to accomplish this week! 💙💛

Tommorrow starts an exciting week for 7 Giles FFA members as we head to the 100th Virginia FFA State Convention!

I would first like to highlight this guy!

Colton Moye will not only be competing in Extemporaneous Public Speaking representing the Appalachian Area, but he is also running for State FFA Office. There are some people who are just born to lead, impact the world around them, and lift-up and encourage others. He gives 100% and has a work ethic like none other. Whether it's in his natural comfort zone of public speaking or throwing something crazy at him like horse judging, he tackles it all with commitment, determination, and a positive attitude!! It has been a true pleasure to be his advisor. This has been four years in the making and it has been an incredible journey! We wish him all the best this week.
