Citizens Inn breaks the patterns of instability that lead to homelessness and hunger.

A really special night with the Fogo de Chão Team in Peabody for their official ribbon cutting. ❤️

And what made the celebration even more special was that they chose to mark the occasion by giving back to the community.

Their employees chose Citizens Inn as the charity they most wanted to support, and GM Gabriela Mallory and CEO Barry McGowan presented us with a generous check representing 10% of the restaurant’s first-week sales.

The evening became even more powerful when we learned that some of Fogo de Chão’s own employees were once clients of Citizens Inn. There’s something pretty incredible about seeing that kind of full-circle moment; people who were once receiving support from our community are now helping give back to it.

A huge thank you to the entire Fogo de Chão team for making community and culture such a clear priority. We’re so grateful for your support and excited to welcome you to Peabody!

Tour the building that houses our Food Pantry, Community Resource Center, and Community Meals Program. You’ll hear more about the needs facing our neighbors and see the improvements your generosity has helped make possible.

Over the past year, supporters like you helped provide:

🛒 More than 30,000 pantry visits
💙 More than 1.2 million pounds of food

These numbers represent thousands of moments when a neighbor knew there was somewhere to turn.

Volunteers Needed at Haven from Hunger 💚

We need some extra helping hands!

Haven from Hunger is currently experiencing a significant need for volunteers to support our Food Pantry and Community Meals programs on:

We have a variety of volunteer shifts available between 10 AM and 6 PM.

Whether you can give a few hours helping in our pantry or supporting Community Meals, your time makes a real difference. Our volunteers are an essential part of making sure our neighbors have access to nutritious food, a welcoming community, and the support they need.

🎒 636 Backpacks. One Incredible Community. ❤️

What an amazing Back-to-School Drive! We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make sure local children have the supplies they need to start the school year with confidence.

A HUGE thank you to:

🏢 All of our corporate partners and local businesses who hosted donation bins and encouraged their employees, customers, and communities to give.

📦 FedEx for generously transporting donations and helping us get everything where it needed to go.

🛍️ North Shore Mall for lending us the space to bring our community together and make this drive possible.

🙌 Our incredible volunteers who sorted, packed, stuffed, organized, and handed out backpacks. Your time and energy made a tremendous difference.

Together, you helped us provide more than 636 filled backpacks to children in our community. Every backpack represents a child who can walk into their classroom feeling prepared, confident, and ready to learn.
