As we step into a brand new year, we want to take a moment to reflect with gratitude and wish each of you a happy and hopeful New Year!✨
Last holiday season, Lokai Rose hosted a gift wrapping fundraiser, an online fundraiser, and a special line of t-shirts featuring our red footed tortoise, Boots, to help fund upgrades to his living space🐢
Because of your generosity and belief in our mission, we were able to give Boots, one of Lokai Rose’s very first rescues, the brand new home he truly deserves. Boots’ journey began in a storage bin in someone’s basement with significant nutritional deficiencies and a respiratory infection. And now, thanks to all of you, he is thriving in a custom 12ft habitat designed to fit all of his needs. This is exactly why we do what we do.
You may have noticed that we have been a bit quieter this holiday season, and that is because we closed out the year with a long anticipated trip to the Australia Zoo! This once in a lifetime trip was a dream come true for us, as Steve Irwin was the spark that taught us to love and fight for all wildlife when we were young🥹
