We also focus on community education and assistance through our Khaleesi Project and Food Pantry. Helping the animals in our community is very important to us but we cannot do it without your support.

Hiii! I'm Rufus!

I’m a handsome little guy and I was originally found stray, but now I’m safe and getting used to life indoors while I wait for my forever home.

I’m a pretty laid-back bird who loves to whistle and show off my musical talents! 🎶 One of my favorite things to do is perch by the window and watch the world go by. I also have a favorite little hangout spot in my enclosure where I like to relax.

I’m still learning that hands aren’t so scary, but with a little consistency, kindness, and plenty of patience, I hope to become more comfortable with my humans.

If you’re looking for a sweet little feathered friend who will fill your home with whistles and chirps, I might just be your guy! 💕

VOTE FOR GECKI & HELP US WIN A GRANT! 💸🦎

Some of you may remember "Gecki" (formerly called "Turk")! Gecki is a leopard gecko who came into our rescue in 2024 after suffering from severe neglect.

When he arrived, he was severely dehydrated, struggling to shed, and suffering from eye infections and mouth issues. He hadn't eaten in over a month. His enclosure lacked many of the basic necessities leopard geckos need to thrive, and his condition was heartbreaking (shown in the first photo).

Unfortunately, this story isn't uncommon. Many reptiles suffer from improper care, simply because their owners were given incorrect or incomplete information about their needs.

Don't worry, this story has a happy ending! ❤️

With proper husbandry, medical attention, and lots of TLC, Gecki was given a second chance. He was adopted in 2024 by one of our very own board members and her family, where he's been living his best little gecko life ever since! Just look at how good he is looking today, two years later!

His family entered him into a pet photo contest and selected Little Lives as their charity of choice. If Gecki wins, our rescue will receive a grant to help us continue saving animals just like him!

🐸 3 Australian White’s Tree Frogs

Three adult Australian White’s Tree Frogs are looking for an experienced new home due to their owner moving across the country. The trio includes one female and two males and will be rehomed together with their complete bioactive setup. All three are reported to be healthy and eating well. Rehoming fee applies and transport required (owner cannot deliver).

Meet Maple!🍁

Maple is a tiny dwarf hamster 🐹 born in August 2026. Don't let her size fool you... she is tiny but mighty! She’s an active, curious girl who loves running on her wheel at night and especially enjoys snacking on carrots and blueberries.

Maple is comfortable being picked up and handled, although she prefers to keep her cuddle sessions short and sweet. Give her plenty of enrichment, room to burrow, and some tasty treats, and she’ll be one happy little hamster!

Do we have any past or present volunteers available to transport a rabbit from Kennewick to Othello on Friday (10/2) morning?

Pick up in Kennewick at 7am and drop off in Othello at 8am. We are hoping to get a rabbit neutered! Fuel can be reimbursed!

Hi, I’m Lydia! 💅 Before coming to Little Lives, I was found living outside as a stray. I managed to survive on my own for several months before someone was finally able to trap me and get me somewhere safe. So yes, I’m beautiful... but I’m also tough.

Now that I’ve discovered what indoor bunny life is all about, I’ve decided I’m a BIG fan. I’m very social, and recently I figured out this amazing concept called toys. Apparently humans set them up, I play with them, and then I can demand that they set them up AGAIN. I have trained my foster family pretty well so far. I’m also wicked smart and very treat motivated so my adopter might be able to teach me a few tricks, too!
