Paris ISD recently hosted its 2nd Annual District-Wide Black History Program, bringing students, families, and community members together for an evening of celebration, reflection, and learning. This year’s event was especially meaningful as it marked a century of Black History commemorations, honoring the lasting impact of Black leaders, innovators, and trailblazers throughout history.
Students from across the district participated in the program, showcasing their talents through music, dance, poetry, dramatic presentations, and historical character portrayals. Many students dressed as influential historical figures and shared stories about the individuals they represented, helping bring history to life for the audience.
The program highlighted the importance of remembering the past while inspiring future generations. Through their performances and presentations, students honored the achievements and contributions of Black individuals who have shaped our nation and communities in meaningful ways.
Paris ISD is proud to continue this growing tradition that celebrates culture, promotes understanding, and brings the community together. The Black History Program has quickly become a meaningful annual event, reflecting the district’s commitment to honoring history while encouraging unity and respect for all.
