Over the weekend, our fearless leader Ashley Krest celebrated her birthday doing her favorite thing: floating the river in the Colorado sunshine with her friends. KVNF staff had a belated celebration of her yesterday in our Community Room. Ashley has been a pillar in the KVNF community serving as the GM of the station, Friday Morning Music Mix show host, and as a powerhouse leading KVNF into the next generation. You’ve probably shared many dance floors, town strolls and river trips with her. We are grateful to have the colorful presence of DJ AKA at KVNF. If you haven’t yet, be sure to wish her a happy birthday. Here’s to many more 🎉🎂

Join us for an evening exploring the role of independent journalism in an age of rapid technological change and artificial content generation. We will be screening “Steal This Story, Please!” a film about ’s Amy Goodman.

The night begins with a panel discussion, “Community Life in the Information Age”. Panelists will explore what it means to produce, consume and share trustworthy information in today’s media landscape. Panelists to be announced. The film screening will follow.
