Busy weekend for our Navigators! Today we hosted coffee hour at Unitarian Universalist Church of Tarpon Springs to thank them for all their kindness and support. Then we had a meeting where our scouts learned about some winter holidays around the world. This included Hanukkah 🕎, Christmas 🎄, Diwali 🪔, Las Posados, Kwanza, and Winter Solstice/Soyal. The scouts learned, made crafts, and ate some yummy treats!

Last night we had a wonderful time caroling with Celebrate Outreach for their 35th annual Still..No room at the inn event. This event reminds us that there is still “no room at the inn” for many people in our community. Our troop, with the help of Unitarian Universalists of Clearwater, Unitarian Universalist Church of Tarpon Springs, and Allendale UMC - St. Petersburg were able to collect many blankets, toiletries, and non perishable food for the unhoused and others in need

Thank you so much to everyone for all your generous donations to our shoe drive! We collected almost 1000 pairs of shoes! While the official drive is over (and all our collection boxes have disappeared 😱) we are still accepting donations for the next couple weeks. Please reach out directly to coordinate pick up/drop off.

Our next event we will be volunteering with Celebrate Outreach for their annual Still...No Room In The Inn caroling. We will be gathering travel sized toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss, combs, brushes, soap, washcloths, shampoo, etc.) and blankets to give to the unhoused in St. Pete. Please reach out if you would like to donate any toiletries and/or blankets. 💞

Good morning all you lovely people! We are approaching the end of our shoe drive! The official final day is November 7th, but the collection boxes will start disappearing before then😲. This past weekend our troop had a camping weekend at Lithia Springs Park, FL. We were joined by two families from Chapter 852 from Jacksonville. Everyone had a wonderful time and enjoyed the cooler evenings. We worked on many badges, including hiking, camping, knife skills, water safety, and cooking. We had campers throughout the weekend, ages five through 16, all participating. "The more you give, the more you get"

Shoe drive update! We have collected almost 500 pairs of shoes, and we still have one more month to go! Here is our awesome troop leader bagging up some of the shoes last week. Also, we are excited to share that we have two new donation locations! Inclusive Care Group now has donation boxes at both clinics:
