Here's a look at the most likely time winds will reach over 40 mph. This go around, it will be mostly a Thursday DAYTIME event for the Bay Area. That's a change. I'll have a complete update for our area as well as students at Florida State University, University of Florida University of South Florida and Florida A&M University later this afternoon.

Tropical Storm Ian: Closure of Pinellas County Schools and offices on Tuesday and Wednesday. Special needs shelters and two general population shelters will open Monday afternoon. Additional shelter openings will be announced during a 10 am press conference on Monday. Path is uncertain but major flooding and wind damage is expected. The latest from Pinellas County, cities and other organizations will be updated at the following link

Thank you Catherine for highlighting our project! The Tax Holiday starts this weekend!

There are some changes to the tax holiday this year. Shoppers in Florida can now avoid paying taxes on certain pet supplies, an idea that came from a local Girl Scout troop.

It's officially official! Pet supplies will be included in the Disater Preparedness Tax Holiday for 2022! Thank you for all of your support!
The time to start preparing is now! Start by calling your vet and getting copies of vaccine and health records before hurricane season begins!
