Two local Girl Scouts are leading a unique project to help improve water quality, using oyster shells to create vertical oyster gardens. The oyster gardens act as a natural filter for pollutants in the water and a habitat for small marine life.

Wai Lani Girl Scouts shining bright among other Girl Scouts of West Central Florida Girl Scouts. We had two Gold Award Girl Scouts this year, a scholarship recipient, several Silver Award Girl Scouts, and a few groups of Bronze Award Girl Scouts. Palm Harbor Girl Scouts are making an impact locally and globally! Enjoy the summer and we can’t wait to see what you all do next school year!

World Thinking Day 2024 brought a whole new level to connecting with Girl Scouts around the globe. Wai Lani Girl Scouts created mini golf holes to represent their country of choice. One of the girls from Troop 809 was a Girl Guide in South Africa before moving the the USA and shared the idea with her troop leader in South Africa. When their event got rained out, the South African Girl Guide troop pivoted and made mini golf holes themselves! Proof of just how far your impact can be! Girl Scouts of West Central Florida
