Someone please adopt Big Dean. 🥹

Just LOOK at this gentle giant.

Dean loves everyone, but one of the sweetest things about him is how much he loves other dogs. Big dogs, little dogs, it doesn’t matter. He’s gentle, patient, and just wants to be part of the pack.

He may be a big boy, but his heart is even bigger. 🩷

And honestly, we think Dean is just incredibly thankful to finally not be living on a chain 24/7, baking in the desert heat. He knows what it feels like to have very little, and now that he’s safe, he seems to appreciate every bit of love, freedom, and companionship he gets.

But he deserves more than just being safe.

He deserves a family. A couch. A yard. A soft place to sleep. Someone who will love him for the rest of his life.

Someone out there is missing their best friend, and I’m pretty sure Big Dean is waiting for them. 🙏🏻

Adopt Big Dean. Give this good boy the home he deserves.

THIS IS WHAT WE DO. 🩷

We don’t just rescue dogs. We give them a chance to become the dogs they were always meant to be.

The first photo of Rocco was taken April 10, 2025. He was living on the streets in horrible condition. He was scared, uncomfortable, and desperately needed someone to step in.

We did. 🩷

The second photo was taken May 2, 2025. Just a few weeks later, you can already see the difference. His body was healing, he was feeling better, and he was finally getting the care he had been missing.

Shortly after that, Rocco went into his forever home.

And the third photo? That’s Rocco today. 🩷 (I’ll add another one I received today in the comments)

Very much loved. Very much spoiled. Sleeping comfortably indoors instead of trying to survive on the streets.

We rescued him.
We rebuilt him.
We rehomed him.

That’s the heart of Rescue Lyfe. Taking a dog who has been forgotten and showing them that their life still matters.

Rescue. Rebuild. Rehome.
One dog at a time. 🩷

Indie got spayed today! 🩷
#46 of our 50/50!

Indie is the sister of our little coyote attack survivor, and today she got her spay done at Animal Action League — as a standby.

And honestly… why were we the ONLY ones there waiting for standby? 🤔

If you had a dog or cat that needed to be spayed or neutered, you could have potentially gotten in today. Those were missed opportunities.

Animal Action League has appointments available, and if you can’t get an appointment right away, go sit on standby! You never know when a spot will open up.

We know there are still SO many dogs and cats throughout the Morongo Basin that haven’t been spayed or neutered. Please don’t wait until there’s an unwanted litter. 💔

Here’s an easy way to keep our donation information handy! 🩷 Please save this photo so you always have our donation info if a dog comes along that pulls at your heartstrings and you want to help with their care or medical needs — or maybe you just want to help us continue doing what we do.

Rescue Lyfe runs entirely on donations. Every dog we rescue, every vet visit, every medical emergency, and everything in between is made possible because people choose to support us.

Ivy’s Update 🩷

Ivy is all cleaned up from her coyote attack. She’s on antibiotics now, and we’re hoping the swelling goes down and she’ll be feeling much better and ready to go in the next couple of days.

But we want to use Ivy’s story as an awareness post, because this is happening far too often.

Ivy was attacked in 29 Palms. When our team member got her to Veg, she had to wait a long time because two other dogs were there being treated for coyote attacks — also from 29 Palms. 😔

Ivy is 18 pounds, and a single coyote was literally dragging her away by her neck. The other two victims were Dachshunds. Sadly, one of them didn’t make it. 🥲

Please, please don’t let your dogs outside alone — even in your own yard. Coyotes are out there, and they can move incredibly fast. Small dogs are especially vulnerable.

Ivy was lucky. 🩷 Now we just need to get her healthy and healed.

Coyote Attack 😭

We got a call about a Border Collie puppy, approximately 6 months old, who was attacked by a coyote DAYS ago and left untreated. 😳💔

The people who lived at the property moved out and left her and her sister behind. 💔 We now have both girls. We were also told their mom was killed by Coyotes.

Neighbors heard screaming and ran outside, only to find a coyote dragging this poor baby away by her neck. 😭

We’re not sure of the full extent of her injuries yet, but as you can see, her neck is severely swollen and infection has already set in. 🥲

This poor baby has been suffering for days.

We’re headed to the vet now to get her the medical care she desperately needs. We won’t know what we’re looking at financially until the vet can get underneath all that dried-up blood and see what’s going on. 💔

We need your help for Teddy. 💔

Yesterday, Teddy had a meet and greet that unfortunately did not work out, and it made it even more clear that Teddy needs some professional help.

As soon as the meet and greet was over, we made the decision to take Teddy straight to a professional training facility Enlighten Dog Training. He will be there for 3 weeks, and the cost is $1,700. That is a huge expense for us, but we aren’t ready to give up on him yet.

We want to give Teddy every possible chance to succeed and find the right home.

Teddy is 8 years old. He has already spent 4 months in boarding, waiting for his chance.

We are willing to invest in Teddy and give him every opportunity to succeed, but we need your help. Putting him in a training program is one more option we’re willing to try because we believe he deserves that chance.

We truly can’t do what we do without donations, and that’s just the facts. Rescue takes a village, and your support helps us continue saying YES to dogs like Teddy who need us to try all options.

Teddy needs someone to step up and choose him. He needs someone willing to see past his challenges, give him the patience and understanding he needs, and provide him with a safe place to live out his senior years. 🩷

And if you can’t be that person, you can still help by donating toward his $1,700 training bill. Even $5 helps. Every little bit adds up.

We’re not ready to give up on Teddy. We’re willing to try every option we can to give this sweet boy the chance he deserves. But we can’t do it alone.

🚨 FOSTER NEEDED ASAP! 🚨

Sweet baby Chase needs a foster! He recently had knee surgery and is doing great, but the cats in his current foster home aren’t loving having a new roommate. 🥲

Chase just needs a safe, comfortable place to stay while he continues to recover. We need someone who can open their home to this little guy ASAP! 🙏🏻

And honestly… a forever home would be even better! 🥹🩷 If you think Chase might be your guy, we’d love for you to apply!
