Good news, Momma Marlee is no longer in pain from her shattered foot. Unfortunately, she did end up losing her front leg, and she’s dealing with an infection in her intestines on top of everything else.

Momma Marlee also lost a lot of blood from all her wounds, and right now, she needs to focus on surviving and getting healthy. She needs her medications to fight the infection and recover. Without them, her life could be at risk.

Unfortunately, if the babies continue nursing while she’s on these medications, especially doxycycline, it could put them at risk, too.

As heartbreaking as it is, we made the decision not to put Momma Marlee and her babies back together. This was not an easy decision, but Momma needs her medications to heal, and we cannot risk compromising her treatment or the babies’ safety.

The puppies have taken to bottle-feeding beautifully and are doing well!

We all want Momma and her babies to be okay, but right now, Momma has to survive and recover. She has endured so much already, and she deserves the chance to heal.

WE NEED OUR COMMUNITY TO SHOW UP FOR RESCUE LYFE! 🙏🏻

Our 2nd Annual Realtors to the Rescue Charity Golf Tournament is coming up on November 19th, and we need your help to make it a success!

The photos feature Mission Lakes Country Club, the beautiful venue hosting the tournament!

We’re going to be honest. We’re struggling right now to get golfers signed up, secure raffle prizes, and bring in the support this event needs. And with so many dogs depending on us, we can’t afford to leave any stone unturned when it comes to raising funds for their care.

So we’re asking our friends, followers, local businesses, realtors, and animal lovers to PLEASE help us spread the word!

🚨 URGENT DONATION PLEA FOR MAMA MARLEE AND HER 9 BABIES! 🚨

Mama Marlee was trapped because her front paw was severely swollen and infected. We knew she needed medical attention, but we had no idea just how complicated her situation would become. 💔

One veterinarian believes the infection has likely reached the bone because it is exposed and already showing signs of deterioration. Her recommendation? Amputation of the front leg.

A second veterinarian has evaluated Marlee and has concerns about her calcium levels being too low for anesthesia right now. Rather than putting her through surgery before it’s safe, Marlee is being sent home with antibiotics that are safe for nursing mothers. The plan is to give the medication a couple of days to work and reassess her condition to determine whether amputation is the only option. They also said Marlee’s toes are all crushed/ shattered. 💔

In the meantime, Marlee has NINE newborn puppies who need their mama.

We are hoping to get her infection under control so the veterinarians can safely determine the best course of treatment. Every day matters, and we want to give this sweet girl the best chance at healing while keeping her babies safe.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! 😭

FOSTER NEEDED: We urgently need a committed foster who can provide a safe, comfortable place for Mama Marlee and her nine babies while she recovers and receives the medical care she needs.

DONATIONS NEEDED: Her medical care is just beginning, and the potential cost of surgery, medications, follow-up appointments, and caring for nine newborn puppies is going to add up quickly. We cannot do this without our community standing behind us.

🚨 WE HAVE A MOMMA THAT NEEDS HELP! 🚨

We trapped this girl last night because her foot is severely swollen. The plan was to get her to the vet first thing this morning, but apparently, she had other plans! 🤦‍♀️

Shortly after arriving at one of our team member’s homes, she decided it was the perfect place to have her puppies! 😳

Now we urgently need a FOSTER who can help us keep this mama and her babies safe. We also need donations to get her the veterinary care she desperately needs. In addition to her severely swollen foot, she has cuts and numerous scars. We need to find out what’s going on and get her the care she deserves.

Can you help us give this girl and her babies a chance? We have a lot of work ahead of us, and we can’t do it without our community behind us. Every dollar helps, and every bit of support means the world to these dogs. 🩷

Meet Olive.

We found this little girl, and she’s heading to Mexicali first thing tomorrow morning for a full medical workup. We need to find out what’s causing the cuts on her body, whether they’re from the severe matting or something else.

Donations have been coming in VERY slowly, and we desperately need your help covering Olive’s medical expenses. Even $5 makes a difference! ELSA NEEDS HER FOREVER 🙏🏻

• 11 months old
• German Shepherd
• Spayed female
• 68 lbs
• Dog friendly
• Very intelligent and eager to learn

Meet Elsa, our beautiful, magical girl.

Elsa has spent almost her entire life in Desert Hot Springs, Ca in a pen with her mama and siblings. It was really all she knew. Haven and Cedar were part of that story, too, until they took off.

Because of that, so many things we take for granted are still new to Elsa. Walking on a leash? She’s learning. Cuddling? Well, she’s still figuring that one out!

But Elsa is trying. She’s a smart girl with a kind soul who is doing her very best to navigate a world that is still unfamiliar to her.

Elsa thrives in a home with other friendly dogs. She needs someone who understands that she won’t learn everything overnight. Someone with patience, love, a secure yard, and the willingness to help her discover what it means to finally be a dog who gets to enjoy life outside a pen.

She’s already come so far. Now she needs someone willing to help her take the next steps.

Louie is a sweet, affectionate, approximately 2-year-old neutered, Chihuahua/Terrier/French Bulldog mix with a beautiful brindle and white coat.

He’s friendly, observant, patient, and very comfortable with handling. Louie loves attention and being petted. He’ll even gently push his head into your hand to ask for more affection. He’s a people-oriented little guy who loves being close to his humans.

Louie is newly rescued and still adjusting to his new life. He’ll need a little extra patience as he settles in, along with a secure, enclosed yard and careful attention around doors and gates while he gets comfortable in his new environment.

This sweet boy has so much love to give. He just needs someone willing to give him a safe place to land and a chance to show them what a wonderful companion he can be.
