We are especially proud of our member, Jackie Chatman, who received Power of Rotary Recognition! Jackie not only goes above and beyond in our club serving as Community Service Chair and Interact Advisor but she also serves as the District Youth Protection Chair and Co-Chair of PRYDE. SURF (Summer Reading Fun) season is underway!

Each year, the Rotary Club of Desert Hot Springs provides a free book to every first and second grade student at five local elementary schools—more than 1,000 students in all.

We’ve completed book giveaways at two schools so far and will visit three more next week. Encouraging a love of reading is just one of the many ways our club invests in the youth of our community.

What an incredible night at the Big Heart Awards!

This event truly takes a crew, and we are so proud of our amazing Rotary members, our dedicated Interact students, and even our past Interact leaders who continue to give back and show up in a big way.

A big thank you to Marion for guiding the Big Heart committee, and to John for doing an incredible job as our MC. We’re also grateful for the leadership of our Rotary President Alyssa and Interact President Annette, as well as all of our supporters who help fund our youth programs.

Most of all, we honor our award winners—past and present—for giving their hearts to Desert Hot Springs.
