District 1 is ready for bold housing investment. Here’s what residents across Riverside County are saying:

➡️ During the Riverside County budget process, affordable housing received more public comments than any other issue countywide
➡️ Residents ranked affordable housing as the County’s third highest funding priority
➡️ Housing was raised in every Riverside County district budget meeting

All of this is linked with a higher risk of housing burden and economic instability across the district.

NOW is the time to invest in proven, efficient solutions to make sure RivCo’s 1st District has what it needs to grow and thrive.

Huge shoutout to Riverside County Department of Housing & Workforce Solutions, the Low Income Investment Fund, Supervisor Medina, and the dozens of community orgs making this work happen.

District 5 communities continue to prioritize long-term housing stability, a priority shared not only by local leaders, but by residents across Riverside County.

During the County budget process, affordable housing emerged as one of the top issues raised by residents countywide

That’s why this work matters.

Shoutout to Riverside County Department of Housing & Workforce Solutions, the Low Income Investment Fund, Supervisor Yxstian Gutierrez, and the dozens of community orgs making this work happen.

We look forward to continuing to coordinate with local leaders—creating a brighter future for the region's residents.

One small state investment could move a lot of housing forward—the time to act is NOW‼️

1,500 affordable homes across RivCo are ready to start construction. They just need the funding to break ground.

Let’s make it happen! Link in comments to learn more.

One of the key priorities of our 2026-2028 Action Plan is to create more ways for residents to advocate for themselves and their neighborhoods—and we’re making it happen!📢

💪Our teams work with residents like Susan every day to help amplify local voices and get more people involved in work that transforms communities—from talking with state legislators about the need for affordable housing to organizing for tenants rights.

For decades, the Housing and Community Development Act of 1980 has allowed households with different immigration statuses to receive prorated rental assistance for those who qualify.

Now HUD wants to strip that assistance and push thousands of families into an impossible decision: separate and send some of their family into homelessness (including thousands of children), or face eviction together.

We have until April 21 (TODAY) to speak out against it. Our partners made it easy to submit a public comment urging HUD to reject this proposal.
