Hawaiian Shores Community Association

Hawaiian Shores Community Association Hawaiian Shores Community Association (HSCA) is a nonprofit organization and homeowners association in Pahoa, Hawaii.

Welcome to Hawaiian Shores Community Association (HSCA) page! This is the official page for our nonprofit 501c(4) organization, a homeowners association representing all properties in the Hawaiian Shores Recreational Estates subdivision. Our subdivision is accessed from Highway 130 via Kahakai Boulevard in the lower Puna District. Created in 1979, the HSCA assumed all common property in o

ur subdivision. With slightly less than 1,300 separate residential parcels, common areas include the roads, three parks, and a well that provides potable water to our homes. We commonly own an area of nearly 12 acres that formerly operated as a horse stables under a County Special Permit. We share common public resources and infrastructure with the three other subdivisions located along Kahakai Boulevard which are the Hawaiian Beaches, Hawaiian Parks, and Hawaiian Shores subdivisions. Keonepoko Elementary School is located adjacent to our subdivision as is a convenience store (Da Store). Our subdivision is approximately 3 miles from Malama and Woodland Shopping centers in Pahoa with grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations, restaurants, banks, and other services. Please refer to our website for additional information and like our page for updates!

Chili Cook-off Details
- Bring your chili to the Stables by 1:30 in a crock pot or similar electric heating device. We do not have a cooktop so you need to bring your chili in an electric warmer. Clearly indicate what type of meat it contains or if it is vegan. We are expecting a big turnout so make plenty!
- We will plug in your container and keep the chili warm.
- We will assign your pot a random number.
- If someone likes your chili, they will write the number on a piece of paper and drop it in the voting box. Remember that no one knows whose chili is whose.
- We will begin counting ballots at 3:00 pm.
- The person with the most votes wins. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes, which will be presented after the ballots are counted.
- Once voting and awards are completed, have a bowl of your favorite chili!
- Volunteers are needed to bring the following:
1.
Chopped onions_________________________________
2.
Cheese ___________Mike_________________________
3.
Diced avocado__________________________________
4.
Sour cream ______ Mike__________________________
5.

We have been notified that an email, appearing to be from HSCA, is going around offering an online payment portal for your HOA dues. This is a scam. HSCA does not have an online portal for HOA payments. The only online portal available is for water payments, accessible through the hawaiianshores.org website.
