You don’t make a name for yourself by talking about what you’re going to do. You make it by putting in the work until people can’t ignore what you’ve done.

When our thermal camera unexpectedly went down, our mission couldn't wait.

A huge thank you to our friends at Trakka Systems for stepping up and getting a loaner camera to us in less than 18 hours, ensuring we were ready for our upcoming patrol shifts. Once it arrived, one of our crew members immediately went to work installing and testing the system.

We truly appreciate Trakka's outstanding support and commitment to helping keep our crews mission-ready.

Several members of the Wiregrass Aviation Support Program recently attended the Airborne Public Safety Association (APSA) Conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where they spent the week expanding their knowledge and strengthening the capabilities of our program.
Throughout the conference, our members attended professional development courses, including Airborne Thermography and Aviation Unit Managers training, while also exploring the latest aircraft, equipment, and technologies shaping the future of airborne public safety. Just as valuable was the opportunity to exchange tactics, techniques, and best practices with aviation units from across the country.
The week concluded with the annual FLIR Awards Dinner, where crews from across the nation shared remarkable stories of lives saved, missing persons located, and dangerous suspects apprehended through the exceptional use of airborne thermal imaging. Hearing these firsthand accounts served as a powerful reminder of how aviation and advanced technology continue to make a life-saving difference every day.
We're proud to bring this knowledge and experience back to the Wiregrass as we continue our mission of supporting law enforcement, search and rescue, and public safety throughout our region.

As per the Secretary of War, WASP conducted a high speed, totally real pass over Pensacola Beach this afternoon. We were low, but morale was high.

Today we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy and honor the men and women who have defended them throughout our nation's history.

From our volunteer crews to your family, have a safe, happy, and blessed Fourth of July!

We like our coffee black and our tea in the harbor.
God bless America.

Our WASP crew had a great time visiting our new friends at the Wise Mill Assembly of God in Elba! Youth attending their military-themed Vacation Bible School had the opportunity to get an up-close look at ALEA 24, an aircraft that proudly served with the U.S. Army before beginning its second mission in law enforcement with the Wiregrass Aviation Support Program. It was a pleasure sharing our aircraft, mission, and passion for serving the Wiregrass with such an enthusiastic group.

🇺🇸 Come see WASP at the Fort Rucker Freedom Festival today from 4:00 PM until the fireworks! 🎆

Stop by our display, meet the crew, check out our aircraft, and learn how we're supporting law enforcement, search and rescue, and firefighting across the Wiregrass.

As a thank you for supporting our all-volunteer, non-profit organization, donations of $20 or more will receive one of three exclusive WASP challenge coins while supplies last. We look forward to seeing you there!
