Wednesday's Wish: Pets of the Week

We’ve partnered with Southern Dog Mission to introduce you to loving pets who need a home. This week, we want you to meet two sweet sisters!

💔🐾 Meet Jazmine & Dolly: two sweet sisters with sweet souls waiting for their forever homes! 💕

✨ Dolly and Jazmine are darling little Terrier/Chihuahua mix sisters, around a year old with each weighing about 28 pounds. They can both be a bit shy at first, but once they warm up, their gentle hearts truly shine. Jazmine and Dolly are affectionate, loyal, and happiest when they’re near each other. 💖

These petite sweethearts are great with other dogs, kids, and cats — gentle, loving, and eager to please. Both girls have the sweetest personalities and just want to be part of a family where they can feel safe and loved. They’re spayed and current on all vaccinations and preventions — ready to pack their tiny bags and head home! 🏡

🐶 While these two are now in separate locations, they’d love nothing more than to be reunited. Their bond runs deep, and they bring out the very best in each other.

Both girls are waiting patiently for someone to give them the love and safety they deserve. Could that someone be you? 💕

📩 Message Southern Dog Mission through their page today to learn more about adopting or fostering these sweet sisters!

🙏 Even if you can’t adopt, please share this post to help Jazmine and Dolly find their way home. You can also help out by making donations to support the Southern Dog Mission in its goal of saving as many pets' lives as possible.

Country Ranch Green Beans and Potatoes with Bacon - Don't LOSE this Recipe 😋

Ingredients:

1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into bite-sized pieces
4 cups baby potatoes (or 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced)
6 slices bacon, chopped
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil (optional, for added richness)
Directions:

Cook the Bacon:
In a large skillet or Dutch oven, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and set it aside, leaving the bacon drippings in the pan.

Sauté the Aromatics:
Add the diced onion to the skillet with the bacon drippings. Cook for about 5 minutes until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

Cook the Potatoes:
Add the diced potatoes to the skillet. Stir occasionally and cook for 5-7 minutes until they begin to brown slightly.

Add Green Beans and Seasonings:
Stir in the green beans, ranch seasoning mix, dried thyme, and dried rosemary. Pour in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a simmer.

Simmer and Tenderize:
Cover the skillet, reduce the heat to low, and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes and green beans are tender.

Finish the Dish:
Once the vegetables are tender, stir in the cooked bacon. Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper as needed. If desired, drizzle 2 tablespoons of olive oil over the dish before serving for added richness.

Notes:

For a crisper texture, reduce the cooking time slightly for the green beans.
This dish pairs beautifully with grilled meats or roasted chicken for a hearty meal.
