The National Health Science Certificate program helps measure what matters most: student knowledge.

Designed to align with the National Health Science Standards, these assessments provide educators with meaningful data to evaluate student understanding and inform classroom instruction. With a range of health science certificate options available, programs can select assessments that best reflect the unique needs of their students and pathways.

The National Health Science Certificate Program is administered by YouScience and serve as a powerful tool for validating knowledge, supporting instruction, and advancing health science education.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death for Americans. Yet, there are only 35,000 cardiologists actively working in the U.S., according to Medicus.

That's only 10 cardiologists per 100,000 Americans.

NCHSE is working to improve these statistics by equipping more students with the tools to succeed in a healthcare career.

Complex word, simple disease.

The Texas Heart Institute reports that as many as 1 in 500 adults may have cardiomyopathy, and many of them don't even know it.

NCHSE is proud to support the next generation of healthcare professionals to help care for these and all individuals with chronic health conditions.

The Physical Health section on our FREE Healthcare & Human Services Career Cluster Chart has several cardiovascular career options for you to share with your students:https://healthscienceconsortium.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/NCHSE-Healthcare_Human-Services-Chart_v10_updated_012226-1.pdf
