Hello all,

The town has been so generous and supportive of our food bank. The holiday donations were phenomenal but sadly we have distributed all of those items. We are now entering a time of year when we scramble to keep shelves stocked. School will be out soon which raises our need. Food prices continue to increase and our numbers continue to grow. Any individuals, community groups, clubs or organizations that would be willing to organize a food drive would really help us out.

Macaroni and Cheese
Boxed/canned meals (chili, stew, hamburger helper, etc)
Soup
Ramen
Canned meat
Cereal
Pasta
Pasta sauce
Tomato sauce
Diced tomatoes

It’s almost time! The Orting Food Bank will be having its annual candy buffet fundraiser during the daffodil festival from 2 to 5 PM under our breezeway. We will also be selling meat raffle tickets and holding a food drive! Please stop by and support the Orting food bank!
* Browse a large variety of candy and fill a container for $1, $5 or $10.
* Buy a meat raffle ticket for five dollars or five for $20. Five amazing freezer packs to win provided by blue Max meats. Drawing is June 1.
* Bring food donations! We are currently in need of cereal, peanut butter, boxed/canned meals, canned meat, soup, ramen and pasta sauce.

Sadly, the petite sweet potatoes that were delivered to us today were already spoiled 😢 we have already filled up the shed for the animal farmers and have a lot left out in front of the food bank. If you know of any animals that would love this treat, please come and take some!
