Introducing Grand Marshal - Kerry Yanasak!
Grand Marshal Kerry Yanasak is no stranger to the daffodil parade. His affiliation started as a Cub Scout marching in the Orting leg of the parade back in the mid 60’s. His mother was a princess chaperone in the early 70’s and he even played piano on the Orting float in 1975. He’s missed very few parades in his life and considers himself lucky to have been asked to play piano for the annual queens coronation 31 years ago and looks forward to playing for that event every year since.

Kerry recently retired as the Executive Director for the Puyallup Main Street Association where he worked hard to help create downtown Puyallup the destination it’s become. One of the first things Kerry did when he took that job 9 years ago was convincing his board of directors to grant the festival $ 10,000 annually and provide free office space and use of the board room assuring the continued success of the festival.

Kerry’s played piano for his church the past 25 years and can be heard playing regularly in the center of Bellevue Square Mall.

He resides downtown Puyallup, has three grown kids in puyallup and 4 grand sons - 2 of which are joining him in the parade.
