Partners for World Health - UMaine Chapter

Partners for World Health - UMaine Chapter We recycle medical supplies, sort our inventory, and ship essential medical equipment to communities and disaster sites across the globe🌍

Partner's for World Health-UMaine Chapter currently collects medical supplies from several hospitals and nursing homes in the Bangor area. We sort the medical supplies in warehouses in Southern Maine that were started by Elizabeth McClellan, founder of Partners for World Health. We then deliver the supplies to developing nations via shipment and on medical mission trips. Each year University stude

nts travel to a developing nation to deliver medical supplies and provide a community with medical care while volunteering under the supervision of a doctor within our clinics. Keep an eye on our page for details about our next medical mission :)

PWH UMaine is back from Senegal! This experience was nothing short of life-changing! We got to meet such inspiring and incredible people and create memories that will stay with each of us forever. Each of us got to interview our own patients, take vitals, assist in prenatal education, and more.

None of this would have been possible without the help of our brilliant interpreters! I speak for all of us when I say each and every one of them was amazing! It was so special to work with the girls everyday and form a real friendship.

And last, but certainly not least, thank you to our founder Elizabeth McLellan! It was such a privilege to get to know and learn from her on this trip.
