We are officially just six days away from the America 250 “Ice Cream Social” on the Orange County Courthouse Lawn!

Join us Sunday, May 17th from 2 PM – 5 PM on the Orange County Courthouse Lawn for an afternoon full of community, connection, and summertime fun for all ages as we celebrate America 250 together.

One of the special additions to this year’s event comes from Commissioner Steve Hopper and his love for classic cars. Along with several friends who share the same passion, a special collection of beautiful vehicles will be on display throughout the afternoon. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the owners, hear the stories behind the vehicles, and enjoy a little piece of automotive history right here in Orange County.

And that’s just part of the fun…

Northeast Township and the Leipsic Community Center will be hosting a homecoming celebration on Sunday, September 28 from 2-5 pm at the old school. Neighbors, friends, former students and the community are invited to stop by to visit the old two room school house to view one room set up in school day style and view historical articles from the past. The event will offer period hoecakes and tea, and a commemorative keychain of the old school while they last. Guests will also be able to register for a door prize as part of the Orange County America 250 year long celebration. For more information please call Tara Jenkins at 812-653-8062.
