🎃 THREE DAYS UNTIL WE GET SPOOKY AND SWEEP THE STREETS! 👻🧹

Curry Ford West, we're coming for your cobwebs, candy wrappers, and questionable roadside treasures!

We're teaming up with Keep Orlando Beautiful for The Great Curry Ford West BOO-tification, and there's still time to join our cleanup crew.

Bring the kids, bring your neighbors, and bring your best costume. We'll handle the supplies! 🧡

Collecting data and turning it into solutions! 📊🙌

Last Saturday we took part in Florida Climate Week presented by VoLo Foundation

Volunteers gathered together to TrashBlitz Eagle Nest Park and collected 155 pounds of litter!

Take a look at the top items that were found and check out the solutions below. Each one of us can make a difference for Florida and our home here in Orlando 💚

🔍 1. Bottle caps 2. Bottles: Remember to bring your own water bottle and use refill stations.

🍫 3. Food Wrappers: Choose snacks like fruit that don’t come wrapped in plastic or plan a picnic using reusable containers from home.

🥤 4. Cups: Bringing a reusable water bottle is a great solution or you can opt for a drink in a can. Remember to recycle it afterwards!

🛍️ 5. Bags: Bring your own bag with you to the store, or if you are only buying a couple of items carry the items without the bag.

Let’s rethink our waste for a cleaner and greener Florida! 🌎

Last Friday we kicked off our October cleanups with Track Shack! Their team collected 138 pounds of litter 🙌

Volunteers collected trash from our lakes, park, and roadways. Picking up items like bags, bottles, cans, and straws. Every piece picked up helps make sure our community and wildlife have a beautiful place to live and play!

Next Friday, we're teaming up with Keep Orlando Beautiful to give Curry Ford West a frightfully good cleanup!

Bring your little monsters, your favorite costume, and your best litter-picking skills. We'll bring the supplies. You bring the BOO! 🧡

Volunteers needed THIS Saturday!

Register now for our last event of Florida Climate Week presented by VoLo Foundation

We are partnering with 5 Gyres to TrashBlitz Eagle Nest Park. This is a huge wetland in the middle of Orlando. Help us collect data on the litter at this park using the app TrashBlitz 🔍📊

Last year we logged 1,762 pieces of litter. Help us beat that number this year!

Volunteers can meet us in the front of the park at 9 a.m. 5Gyres has some fun gear to give away first come first serve!

🌦️ We are cleaning up rain or shine!
Unless there is lightning. Metal litter pickers and lightning do not mix. 🙅‍♀️⚡️

47 Residents are now using rain barrels to collect and store rain water for their gardens! 🌱

On Monday our Water Reclamation, Streets and Stormwater departments taught our community about lakes, storm drains, and the importance of conserving water. Then they assembled their own rain barrels to take home💧

Thank you to everyone that came through and dropped off recycling. Every item recycled helps reduce what’s going to the landfill and keeps these materials in circulation.

We have the purr-fect volunteer opportunity for you! 🐈

Join us for a cleanup downtown next to the Kitty Beautiful. Volunteers can drop in and help us beautify our downtown area, and learn about the Ocean Friendly Restaurant program with the Orlando Surfrider team.

Make sure to stop into the Kitty Beautiful. The cat cafe will be reserved for our volunteers from 5 - 7 p.m. and we highly recommend enjoying a cat themed treat from their menu while you are there! 🐾

The Kitty Beautiful is one of several restaurants here in Orlando that are certified Ocean Friendly. That means they follow criteria that helps reduce single-use plastics and benefits the ocean!

✨ Orlando Lakes Cleanup 2026 ✨

Our volunteers are the best! Throughout the month of September we celebrated the International Coastal Cleanup with 5 lake cleanups and our community showed up 🙌

Families, friends and coworkers worked together to remove 2,317 pounds of litter!!!

Each piece of litter removed helps clean our waterways, protect our wildlife, and creates a cleaner and greener Orlando 💚

Thank you to our incredible volunteers, our Public Works team, and our event sponsor Love, Tito’s.
