Some people leave footprints. Others leave pathways.

While I never had the privilege of knowing Pastor Thyson T. Halley personally, I have long admired the impact of his ministry, particularly his commitment to ensuring that Deaf individuals were seen, welcomed, and included in the Kingdom work of God.

To his fiancée, family, church family, friends, and all who loved him: please know that many are grieving with you, even from afar. His life and ministry reached further than you may ever know.

As we mourn his passing, may we also celebrate a life that pointed people to Christ, served others faithfully, and made a lasting difference.

May the God of all comfort hold each of you close in the days ahead.

The child is deaf.
But the response? That was… off.

“You” and “new” almost looks the same on the lips.

So repeating the word without changing the approach was never going to work.
