For a lot of us, this is a vote we waited years to cast, so let's give it every chance to go smoothly! 🗳️

Voting early means that if an ID question or something on your record comes up, you have days to fix it instead of minutes at the check-in table.

☑️ Check your county's early voting days, sites, and hours
☑️ Use any early voting site in your county
☑️ Bring a current photo ID with your signature, like a Florida driver license, Florida ID card, U.S. passport, or military ID

Only fourteen days left to register to vote in the midterms. October 5 is the deadline in Florida, and after that the books close for the November 3 general election.

If you are a returning citizen who has completed all terms of your sentence, including any fines, fees, and restitution, you may be eligible to register right now. If you are not sure where you stand, call our hotline at 1-877-MYVOTE-0 before you fill anything out. We will help you get clear.

Already registered? Take two minutes to check your status and make sure your address and signature are current. A lot of people find out something is off on Election Day, and that is the worst time to find out.

It’s Desmond Meade Day! And we couldn’t let it pass without paying homage to the man himself from those who have worked alongside him.

Desmond founded FRRC on the belief that people deserve second chances and the dignity of full citizenship. Everything we do carries that forward. Every registration, every conversation, every door.

So we honored him the way he taught us, through service. Our team came together for phone banking training, helped disenfranchised citizens check their voter registration status, and gave back to two Orlando organizations serving those experiencing homelessness.

His story became a movement. Ours is to keep it going.

Returning citizens are ready to work, so what’s standing in their way? Systems designed to make it harder for them to be hired, even years after serving their time.

But we can change that.

Fair access to jobs is essential to not only to successful reentry, but for stronger communities for all of us. Together we can continue to remove these barriers to second chances.
