Double the Black excellence brilliance!

The Atlanta Great Debaters won the Harvard debate championship for the third consecutive year, competing virtually against students globally.

11 Alive reports the entire team’s commendable performance, with Madison Webb and Christian Flournoy notably securing the victory as individuals.

Madison Webb is the first Black female student and Christian Flournoy is the youngest Black male student to win the competition.

Harvard Diversity Project selects talented Black youth from Metro Atlanta, introducing them to academic debate for the first time.

👑 To a Young Black Queen…

Today I watched an 8-year-old Black queen stand with confidence and explain the difference between mammals and other animals — how they have fur, how they nurture, how they survive.

And what touched me wasn’t just the science she understood…
It was the power she carried while explaining it.

She didn’t even realize it, but she was being mentored in real time — not by a classroom, not by a school system, but by life, by support, by a moment that allowed her to shine.

And that’s the truth a lot of people don’t understand:

Real mentorship doesn’t wait.
It doesn’t require a building.
It doesn’t require a program.
It happens the second a child feels seen, heard, and believed in.

Watching her speak reminded me why I do this.
Why I fight for our youth.
Why I show up every day.

Because our Black queens and kings already have greatness inside them —
they just need somebody to slow down long enough to pull it to the surface.

To that young queen:
Keep speaking.
Keep learning.
Keep shining.

You are the future, and your brilliance deserves to be witnessed.

🏇💜A.C.T. Program – Horse Farm Therapeutic Experience
Gettysburg, Pennsylvania | With Ms. Jackie

One of the most powerful parts of our A.C.T. curriculum is our partnership with Ms. Jackie, owner of a horse farm in Gettysburg and a long-time professional in the juvenile system. What happens at her farm is not just a visit — it’s a structured behavioral, emotional, and developmental lesson.

🟣What This Experience Teaches Our Youth

When our kids step onto that farm, the horses immediately become mirrors.
Horses respond to emotion, tone, body language, patience, and trust — and our youth feel that in real time.
This is where growth happens.
• Emotional Regulation: Kids learn how their energy affects the horse. If they’re anxious, the horse senses it. If they calm down, the horse calms down.
• Confidence Building: Simple tasks like brushing, leading, or feeding the horse build self-belief and responsibility.
• Communication Skills: They practice giving clear commands, using soft tones, respecting space, and understanding nonverbal cues.
• Teamwork & Leadership: Each youth works with a partner, taking turns guiding the horse and supporting each other.

🟣What Our Mentors Document

Every A.C.T. mentor is trained to track real-time growth during these sessions.
They observe and document:
• Emotional triggers
• Moments of self-control
• How the youth handle frustration
• Who steps up as a leader
• Communication styles
• Confidence, anxiety, patience levels
• How quickly they adjust to correction or guidance

This is what separates A.C.T. from every other program — our curriculum turns every outing into a behavioral and emotional data point that helps us build customized support for each child.

🟣Why This Matters

Kids still ask about Ms. Jackie’s farm months later because something life-changing happens there.
For many of them, it’s the first time they:
• Feel genuinely at peace
• Connect with an animal
• Experience responsibility in a safe environment
• Learn how their emotions impact others
• Build trust with adults documenting their strengths, not their mistakes

🟣The A.C.T. Way

Whether we’re in a classroom, a horse farm, a skating rink, or a police station — every moment is structured, documented, and intentional.
We don’t just watch the kids.
We teach them. We guide them. We measure their growth.
And we give them experiences they carry for life.

Thank you, Ms. Jackie, for providing a place where healing, learning, and emotional transformation meet.

As we expand the A.C.T. Program (Actions Change Traditions) into Orlando, Florida, I need everyone to understand something very important:

THIS ISNT JUST A PROGRAM. This is a system I created because me, my friends, and thousands of kids like us never had anything like this growing up.

I BUILT THE A.C.T PROGRAM FROM THE REALITY OF MY LIFE…..

from group homes, juvenile placements, detention centers, and the countless systems across the country .
While growing up,
🟣WE DIDNT HAVE MENTORS….watching our behavior in real time.
🟣WE DIDNT HAVE ADULTS… building a village around us.
🟣WE DIDNT HAVE 25+ TRAINED STAFF… standing in the gap.
🟣WE DIDNT HAVE AN APP that documented our growth, our trauma, our goals, and our progress.
🟣WE DIDNT HAVE SAFE PLACES to fall, learn, and get back up.

➡️ SO I CREATED the system WE NEVER HAD.

A SYSTEM that changes traditions instead of passing down trauma.
A SYSTEM that teaches, guides, documents, protects, and walks with the youth.
A SYSTEM where parents, mentors, teachers, case managers, business owners, and entire communities unite around each child.

When people ask me “Why did you build this?”
The answer is simple:

💜Because nobody built it for us.
💜 Because too many kids are falling through cracks they never created.
💜 Because every city spends hundreds of thousands of dollars per youth yearly on detention , but is spending only approximately $15,000 yearly per youth on PREVENTION
💜 Because the only way to fix juvenile crime is to reach kids BEFORE the bad decisions hit.
💜 Because my story taught me exactly what the system is missing — and I designed the opposite.

The A.C.T. Program is now officially expanding into Orlando with certified clinicians, trained mentors, educators, behavioral specialists, a full staffing roster, 24/7 mobile support, a youth distribution hub, cosmetology partnerships, and our A.C.T. App that tracks every child’s journey.

We are legally operating as a nonprofit organization, and Orlando will be the next city where we build a real village — something powerful, something long overdue, and something that has literally saved lives.

If you’re in Orlando and you believe in mentorship, structure, and giving youth a real chance, tap in.
We are here. We are official. And we are ready.
