The music world has lost a gentle giant. Beloved Whitehaven High School band director Andre Newsom has passed away, according to Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS). We join the Whitehaven community and the world in honoring this great director who gave so much to his students and to us all. 🙏🏾

Phi Beta Mu, International Bandmasters' Fraternity, is an honorary fraternity for band directors. The fraternity was designed to honor outstanding band directors at the state level, with only one chapter per state. This weekend the South Carolina chapter of Phi Beta Mu inducted Mr Adrian Wright into it's membership. Congratulations Adrian!!!
