Morgan Safenet Morgan Safenet Foundation, Inc started up in October of 2013. On April 29, 2014, MSN became an official 501(c)(3) non-profit entity.

MSN's mission is to help promote the breed, prevent the need for rescue by assisting owners, trainers, breeders and the Amish market giving a network for their lower price point horses: educate, raise awareness and promote the versatility of the breed The Morgan Safenet Foundation's (MSN) mission is to promote the Morgan horse breed, preventing the need for rescue. MSN's accomplishes this by assis

ting owners, trainers, breeders and the Amish market with a network for their lower price point horses. Through education, raising awareness and promotion of the versatility of the Morgan, MSN is an alternative to auction that attracts new owners while encouraging and promoting stewardship, responsibility and synergy of efforts within the Morgan breed through intentional philanthropy. Promote the Morgan Horse - Prevent the need for rescue - Preserve responsibility and the breed foundation. There are very few organizations devoted to marketing of what has commonly been referred to as "not enough horse". These are typically the lower price point Morgans suitable for the entry level equestrian. The Morgan breed is versatile and family oriented. By nature, they are smart, willing, forgiving and please people. They fill a void and encourage new people to the breed who may have never considered owning a Morgan before. Aggressive marketing is essential to enthusiasts inside and outside the Morgan community. Much of what we hear about the fate of the Morgan horse includes words of rescue, slaughter, donate, and adopt. Too few people hear about their heart, athleticism and versatility or see them as viable options. Please visit morgansafenet.com for details and current horses available through resale or adoption. SENIOR SUNDAY!!!

It's not just for all those high-schoolers šŸ™ƒ

In July of 2022 a mare was led through Unadilla Auction in NY...no papers...reported to be a Morgan of 18yrs. While she looked older MSN pulled her anyway with the help of our people at the sale. DNA later proved her to be;
STAR KNIGHTS MS TIFFANY 0134216
(MAXWELL HARMONIC GOLD x BRIGGS RUN ISABEL)
May 12, 1995
**much older than 18...and one Morgan that would have slipped through the cracks.

On top of it she was a Philharmonic granddaughter!!
Originally named Barbie...we changed it to Tiffany.

Tiffany found a home while in quarantine with Cindy & Tom Knoll in NY. Tiffany is now 31 ā¤ and living her best life....

"Just wanted you to know she is living her best life, now 31, and it wouldn’t have been possible without you and Morgan Safenet ā¤ļø" - Michele Rowe

Thank you for this update!! She looks amazing ā¤

Seymour - Flirt Force Impression -NOW

No update is too late. People don't realize I think sometimes that EVERY horse that comes through our path, there is attachment. We care about the rest of the story. Updates like this just lift our spirits as to the WHY we do this. IT MATTERS.

Seymour, Flirt Force Impression had come to our attention maybe 1-2yrs prior to 2023. We tried to get him before the cycle but in the end advisement of the owner would lead him to being sold. In April of 2023 we were contacted that he was available and not working as a driving prospect on the road. We luckily had a sponsor and were able to purchase him directly.

Seymour came to TX and proved to be anything but all that he had been portrayed. All that led him down a path of further failure. But in Sept of 2024 Seymour found his person. Not someone who expected him to be...someone who just let him BE. Together they are one. No job. No role. Just a human and horse enjoying their space together. The horse world needs more of these humans.

Enjoy the process....

Hi ladies! I am so sorry I haven’t updated you in so long! We’ve been hiding from the world. Seymour is absolutely amazing and hilarious and polite amd brilliant and and and! He’s really coming out of his shell. He’s my little onion, I just keep peeling the layers away, with his permission of course. There’s a strict ā€œdon’t touch my ponyā€ rule with him as he still has some stranger danger if I’m not with him but beside me he’s invincible! My crabby old Warmblood even likes him even tho Seymour’s joy irritates him lol. ...more... ~Stephanie & Seymour

LISTING FOR OWNER REHOME - SALEDO TX

This young owner used to work for this filly's breeder and that's where she fell in love. Sometimes the heart speaks before the head and we don't always make the best long term choices. The only reason for the sale is she is headed to school late October and has come under some financial hardship. She only wants what is best for this girl.

This is Aikane's Sterling Ruby, currently standing 15-15.2h and still growing. She was foaled in March 26, 2024. The owner has had her since weaning. Her sire is DM Black Bravado (CN) and her dam is Filigree In Sterling. It is noted on her papers that the dam is a black silver dapple. Ruby stands tied, for the farrier and to be saddled. She LOVES belly scratches. She is currently barefoot.

I have not met Ruby in person but based off photos and one video she is curious, friendly and well started to all the ground things. Furthering her under saddle by an experienced horse person should not be a problem. She is also very much a working western, trail, western dressage type prospect for anyone looking.

There has to be someone who is a fit for Ruby!
Asking price is under 5k and very negotiable to the perfect home!

Please reach out directly if you think Ruby is a match for you!

There is a gray area out there that’s drama free if you choose to act kindly and let it be. A space between a home and a terrible turn. A window that is open if you choose to walk with kindness. A place that is an opportunity to make an impact…make a difference…lend a hand… change an outcome for not just the animal’s well being but for the owner’s who may truly love and care. Yet many times the instinct is to attack, judge, be hateful, criticize…why? Because it’s easier to assume?

We don’t know anyone’s journey or what led them to where they are at today. Why do we always assume the worst? A conversation goes a long way. Anyone can make a difference.

Today I welcomed this beautiful local to me, gelding, obviously not a Morgan. I hope to make a difference. Education is power. This is what matters …kindness.

So the next time someone reaches out or you see something wrong, think before you speak. Don’t assume. Don’t attack. Don’t criticize. You could be the one difference that changes the direction of everything.

His owners still cared to allow me in to help.
If you want to help make a difference and support this transformation please donate,

People often don't like my bluntness...but honestly this is where I am at right now. And there's nothing to loose anymore. A question was posed in a share of this horse's post. How? I get every day. Honestly after 15yrs of doing this and standing by these horses this should not be the question. We should all be figuring out how to change things. And that means speaking up and stop being quiet about the reality of the industry.

This mare and the other 4yr old are just examples of what is happening every day. These brokers go to all the sales. This is where these horses get acquired! They are just reselling them on their pages with threats of shipping to slaughter.

How does it happen? One example is her timeline. Bred in OH...well known breeder. Sold to a trainer...you can see the years owned. Maybe she wasn't going to make the "high standard" show horse based on todays pre-requisits. And SO early in her years. Sold back to the Amish community. Because for some reason some trainers believe if they aren't going to be in the top ribbons this is the only other place to sell them. AND YES before anyone gets their panties in a wad about that statement it was told to my face when I went to try a western horse prior to the sale...buy before going to auction at a very fair price...and I was told I couldn't...and that this was her only answer. It is simply NOT. There is a whole other market that MANY people are missing so this is why these horses continue to turn up. Amish are no different. You flood their market with horses they are going to have to cut their herd too. This broker demand is not dying down and who knows maybe some show up at their doors promising a good home will be found. Why? because people are buying them out of these pens because the threat is they will ship. Also there could have been an owner after owner 3 and papers never transfered. Likely a job on the road or the broodmare shed that didn't work. Maybe she was too much for someone...The trail is questionable but it was only March.

It is frustrating to keep trying to spread the message....help the horses with no financial support or a place for them to go...and everything just gets worse. There is NO change.

You want to know HOW or WHY....this is some of the reason.
You want to help her or someone else? We can pickup, quarantine and help arrange to ship home. But we can't continue to collect. They all should be so lucky as to have someone who wants them more. And you will never see the ones that do ship.

Buying them all is not the answer. Change at a much higher tier is part of the answer.

I am in TX not far from Bowie. If someone wishes to purchase either at $2200 (Bowie's tag) I am available for pickup, quarantine and helping arrange transport home. But we are not stepping up.

We will continue to try and promote change for the welfare of the Morgan breed and stand by the horses currently in our care.

UPDATE: I have spoken with the buyer. She’s safe with a reputable Morgan breeder.

If the person who purchased this mare is willing to reach out I would appreciate it. There is a very concerned former owner. Thanks 240-529-3066
