Pawsitively Orangeburg is NOT an intake rescue; we are volunteers who help the animals of Orangeburg County and surrounding areas by fundraising.

We volunteer directly with Orangeburg County Animal Control and Shelter to assist the animals in receiving what is most needed and in cases of emergency care. This rural county shelter serves 1100+ square miles with very limited resources and no veterinarian services to help with medical care when injured animals are brought in. Our community’s support, in sharing our information and helping where they can, will help us achieve our mission. We want to make sure that animals in our community are always given the opportunity of A FULFILLING LIFE. We will work until that is made possible. As of March 2022, we are a 501c3 charitable organization and have several ways to donate:

Stare at these Eyes really hard! 🥺 this baby is begging for help. The shelter is not a place for Nala to be with medical needs. Please share, beg and plead with 501c3 rescues to save her! She needs a fighting chance to be evaluated! We pledge $500 towards her medical needs if an approved rescue steps up for her and gets her care. 💔🙏🐾

10/12: We have a kind sponsor who is willing to pay for Nala's assessment. She will be taken in tomorrow AM. She will still need a rescue. Her deadline is extended until tomorrow at 5pm.

🚨🆘 URGENT RESCUE NEEDED FOR NALA — DEADLINE 10/13 at 5pm 🆘🚨

💔 Nala needs help NOW. Her life may depend on someone stepping up for her today.

This sweet girl is estimated to be 5–6 years old and heartworm negative. Nala is still wagging her tail and happily greeting us. 🥺❤️ She wants to be loved, and she deserves the chance to experience so much more than a shelter. Her story should not end here.

We suspect Nala may have been struck by a car. She is unable to use one of her back legs, and because of her size and limited mobility, she is struggling to support herself and cannot get around on her own.

Nala needs immediate rescue so she can receive the continued medical care she desperately needs. After further medical evaluation, we know she needs more than what we can provide her at this time.

⏰ RESCUE DEADLINE: TODAY AT 5 PM!

She needs someone willing to see past her medical needs and give her a chance. A rescue organization, medical foster, or other appropriate placement could be the difference between life and death for this girl.

📣Orangeburg Residents: Do you have a Female Dog less than 50 lbs that needs Spayed??📣

✨️We have an appointment that has opened up for October 6th.
✨️We cover the spay cost and rabies if needed.
✨️Owner responsible for transportation and other requested cost like microchip, nail trim etc.
✨️The dog has to be at Pawmetto Lifeline in Columbia strictly at 8am and pick up is 2pm.

✨️We are trying to help as many Orangeburg Residents with FREE Canine Spay/Neuters through Pawmetto Lifeline ✨️

In order to continue this service we need donations 🙏. We as Pawsitively Orangeburg still have to pay, but we want the community to have a chance at low cost options. We have covered 25 Doggie Spay/Neuters in the community this year so far and we have 14 appointments left to cover this year. (And they are booked through mid November).
⚠️This total adds up to about $1200 to cover the 14 appointments.
We cannot continue this service without our beautiful community coming together to help us continue this service and we couldn't do this without the amazing HoofandPaw SC!

Future Goals for next year is to raise enough for a mobile clinic to come to Orangeburg and offer further discounted cost for the community (more than once and in different areas). ❤️

Every dollar adds up! Every spay/neuter means less dumped unwanted litters, healthier animals, less strays, less dogs in the shelter and rescues! It may not seem like much, but it makes a HUGE difference! 🙏❤️
