💙 Meet a Grantee Monday 💙

We’re excited to highlight one of our grantees and the meaningful impact they’re making in their community!

The Family in Focus program, offered by Child Care Resource Center in Opelika, supports families in building strong, healthy relationships through education, connection, and hands-on parenting experiences. During a recent “I Love You Rituals” and Infant Massage class, a big brother eagerly joined alongside his expecting mom, already beginning to bond with his baby sibling in a beautiful and meaningful way. Moments like these reflect what Family in Focus is all about: strengthening family connections from the very beginning and nurturing positive parent-child relationships.

Through a variety of parenting topics and interactive learning opportunities, Family in Focus helps caregivers develop skills that promote healthy child development and safe, supportive home environments. The program aligns with the Child Care Resource Center’s mission of promoting strong families through support services and education for childcare providers, parents, employers, and communities.

As a Children’s Trust Fund grantee for over 10 years, Family in Focus has served families across Lee, Chambers, Tallapoosa, Russell, and Macon counties, expanding access to resources that help prevent child abuse and strengthen families throughout the region.

In addition to Family in Focus, Child Care Resource Center also offers Dad’s League, a fatherhood program connecting fathers in Lee County through support, training, and shared experiences that strengthen bonds between fathers and their children.

We’re honored to support the important work our grantees are doing to strengthen families and prevent child abuse across Alabama! To learn more about Family in Focus and Child Care Resource Center’s services:

Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month
Today was a beautiful reminder of what community looks like. 💙Thank you to all the agencies, city leaders, and programs who joined Envision: Education, Family, and Youth Development to plant pinwheels at Barbara Patton's Southside Center for the Arts. Each pinwheel tells a story of hope and the importance of protecting our children.
